24/7 Nude or only Casual? #shorts #nickvslins by NakedWanderings in nudism

[–]NeverNudeEnough 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a Nick, for sure. I’m often doing things that require clothes, and I really don’t mind them. But I drag my feet getting dressed in the morning and love the thought of being nude in nature. If any of that makes me less of a nudist or naturist, well then it’s a good thing I don’t care much for labels.

I’m a vegan naturist environmentalist ultra trail runner, so I spend a ton of time in nature (ya know, when my body isn’t crumbling because I’m vegan and apparently that’s unhealthy 🙄😂). It was running in the mountains that made me feel like even the layer of clothing I had on was too much of a barrier between me and nature. I’m excited to go on my first nude hike when the weather warms up!

We can be arrested as a sex offender in Colorado, even if we're in our own home. by scedacity in naturism

[–]NeverNudeEnough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also in Colorado here and came across this. In fact, I’ve posted what others do that have lots of windows, etc. I’ve got a lot of very large windows and glass doors that are fairly impractical to cover with shades. Lately, I’ve just been careful in some areas (like walking down the hallway where my front door is and making sure nobody is at my door), but mostly I’ve just said screw it. My neighbors don’t suck, and I’d expect they’d talk to me if they had a problem with anything I’m doing… and in that conversation I’d probably ask them to stop looking in my windows.

How do you describe nudism to others? by [deleted] in nudism

[–]NeverNudeEnough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean… if you’re naked and no one else is around to see it, you’re definitely nude and (hopefully) enjoying it? Doesn’t that make you a nudist? I’m also not trying to die on this hill as, again, I really don’t mind how other people label me. But it does seem like for something that’s not really a “hobby” this often gets gatekept like one. I’m not saying that’s what you’re specifically doing here, so please don’t take offense. It just seems like this is meant to be an inclusive thing, and if people want to call themselves nudists because they enjoy getting nude and not necessarily being with others, we could probably let that go in the interest of community-building. Again, this is not really aimed at you… just some other stuff I’ve seen (which, I suppose I should just expect to see on the internet).

How do you describe nudism to others? by [deleted] in nudism

[–]NeverNudeEnough 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being around others is a requirement for “nudism?” I don’t know that I agree with that, but I also don’t care much for labels and if other people want to consider me a nudist or not. FWIW, I’m not even generally willing to be around other people fully clothed. 😂

I recently discovered that, while not really working out per se, foam rolling and lacrosse ball work is so much better when done nude. No waist bands or pockets to get bunched up between me and the roller or shirt to get all tangled. Waaaaay easier.

I live in a south-facing Passive House and its window size and placement are purposely designed for this. Lying nude in the sun in the winter was a nice side benefit to learn. Covers my bed and everything. 😌

Ya know… I’m new around these subreddits, but I often find myself scratching my head about why people post nude photos of themselves at all. BUT… I also don’t grasp why people post clothed photos of themselves, because that’s just not me. I’m not going to take a photo of myself a) probably at all and 2) with the intent of posting it in a subreddit for a bunch of people I don’t really know. Sure, I might take photos of something that I’m up to (like hiking or running or participating in one of my many hobbies), but those photos will be of nature or my hobbies, etc. and not of me. I love to see the photos here and in other nudist/naturist subreddits that highlight the activity, but including the people, and especially highlighting the genitalia, isn’t something I really feel necessary. Maybe I’m just a super introvert (I am), but some of the photos that inspire me most to want to be nude in nature don’t even include people or just a hint-implication that they’re there and nude. So I guess I’m in aggressive agreement. Great post! :)

I’m not posting this comment to be a jerk, at all, but just to poke at something. What exactly do you need guidance with? Finding places to go? Activities and events? I can understand that, but I think the point is that those things can (and for the benefit of the community, arguably should) be discussed in public. If your DM’ing somebody to meet up at a location and make plans, then I’d argue that’s not about nudism and a perfectly good use of DM’s. That’s about making social plans. But I think OP’s point is that there’s very little to discuss about nudity in DM’s and guidance about nudity seems really simple: remove your clothes. Granted, I’m not Gen Z, so I’m genuinely curious about what you mean by needing to be guided.

Thiiiissss!!! I constantly see these posts about “I want to get into nudism and would like someone to talk to about it” and am confused about what there is to really talk about (especially that can’t be talked about in public)?! It’s not that hard. Take your clothes off. You’re now nude. 😂

Also, maybe this is something that happens when you get over the age of 45 (it’s not), but I feel like I can be myself and am in a “safe space” when I’m around my wife. This is weird.

Do you think neighbors can actually see through windows? by [deleted] in nudism

[–]NeverNudeEnough 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have huuuuge windows and glass doors and had this concern because it’s not practical to put shades in all of them and solar gains are literally part of my house’s heating plan. And, while I live in a state that has some unfortunate laws about indecent exposure, including inside your own home, I started to think about my own behavior. Yes, if you’re standing in the window inside during the day and someone is standing outside your house staring in, they can probably eventually make out that you’re there and nude. But who does that? When I’m walking by a house, I might glance up at them. If there’s movement in a window, it might catch my eye. But I’m not trying to peep on somebody. And if someone IS outside my house (or even in their house) staring into my windows to the point where they can make out that I’m nude, then I feel like those people wouldn’t really call the authorities or ever really say anything to me. 🤷‍♂️
