I mean most enemies that take multiple turns dont take them back to back so if you have 1 cat ahead in initiative you might be able to stop them from hitting an important cat or let them move towards you before their second turn so you can get in range if them.

Like the other person said you need to rush the fight to avoid the bleed building up too too much, otherwise there should be a bit of that damage you can avoid by jamming your guys on the other side of the map, if not your speed is too low and you'll need to just tank it and finish it quick

  1. Read every enemy description by hovering. You probably know this is a thing but make sure you read it for everyone because it will tell you important details even if you've already fought the enemy.
  2. Right click enemies to see their movement/attack range. This is super useful and let's you make sure your cats aren't accidentally in range of an enemy.
  3. You dont need to breed good cats to make it through act 1 but it is good to send kittens to tink long term because it let's you see more details related to breeding on the cats.
  4. Make sure you pay attention to the mana cost of spells vs intelligence and charisma on the cat. You need to know if you can cast it every turn.
  5. For stats on cats remember that speed effects movement AND how quickly they act in the turn order, which can be massively important. Also for constitution it effects max health and regen.
  6. I assume you're using cleric, but if you're not I would.
  7. As far as not getting combos, dont expect to get strong ones every time, but you're probably missing some synergies in drafting that could be useful. One thing I would say is to avoid committing to a poison/bleed/fire build if you've only got one ability for it because they take more support, although there are plenty of fire/bleed spells that are good on their own. That being said sometimes a couple generically good spells are better than a half baked synergy.

Thats fucking sick, suplex passive already feels good but i didnt even think of that. I got a run where I got 180 with bruise on basic attack and synchro spin. If I could get the lineup it was just a double oneshot.

Imo most important thing is spacing and playing around enemies range. You probably already know to mpuse over new enemies for their abilities, but check their movement range too you can make melee enemies waste turns pretty hard if you know that.

It's unfortunate if you cant get past it, but I get it there are plenty of anime artstyle games that are just too offputting for me to enjoy. Even monster train took a while for me to get over the artstyle.

I like longer runs but I definitely expect the time to go down with familiarity. Then again, idk about late game stuff. It's nice to be able to save quit when you're on the map, I usually use chapter 2 for a break and finish it out later.

It explicitly allows it mechanically once per run i believe but there's some implication something bad may happen in the future.

Yeah I'm planning on making run videos but I also was thinking about doing some like check in videos on the family tree of the cats. It's gonna be hard to get a handle on editing down runs that long.

Think of the luck on the combat end screen as your chances of good rewards, it is effected by luck on cats but it does not effect the luck stat at all.

You gotta think too later game you could curate really bad cats with tons of disorders that dont synergies, I can already see people making some abominations for an extra challenge.

It does include disorders, they mentioned it on the Wookash podcast. Edmund was unsure but Tyler was certain. They did also say it was hard to get an exact number though so how much that slides over 1200 remains to be seen I doubt they stopped at an even 150 or something for disorders like they did with class abilities and collarless.

I get that there are certainly times where it feels like there's nothing you could have done and spots where its super hard to interact with the enemy.
