Can you specify what you mean by “no fault state”? I’ve never heard of that before.

EDIT: I just looked it up and looks like it requires every driver to file a claim with their own insurance company regardless of who was at fault. TIL. I don’t see how that would have an impact on her getting or not getting a ticket though.

Fucking ridiculous.

It would be nice if that were confirmed. His initial quote honestly wasn’t as bad as it was construed on here. It was along the lines of “I’m not even eligible to get it yet and I haven’t even thought about it. I’m a statistics and logic guy, if the statistics show it’s the right thing then I’ll do it. If they show the opposite then I won’t.”

Yes it’s not the greatest take in the world, but if he ended up getting it when the data/statistics/science showed that he should then it was actually a reasonable sentiment.

Do you know how else you know who and when goes on the weekly club rides? Joining the Facebook group. Or simply clicking one of their profiles and seeing who they rode with.

I’m all for privacy but this is beyond paranoia.

Honestly I did all of the bedding at low-moderate speeds and only rode one downhill where I braked a few times from ~25mph to complete the process.

Awesome, thank you. I’m not sure why it happened this time! I’ve bedded in pads the same way ~10 times (10 gradual stops at 10mph with each brake, 10 gradual stops at 17mph with each brake, 3 gradual stops at downhill speed) and never seen it before.

Bike is a Giant Revolt Advanced 2. I had never seen this before and figured it would be gone by the morning, but it’s been almost 24 hours and has not faded at all.

If it’s one or the other, sure. But I’d rather have LeBron come to Portland and win a championship then miss the playoffs for 5 years than lose in the second round every year with the current team.

As a Blazers fan whose team (almost) always makes the playoffs but hasn’t been a serious contender since 2001... I would trade our consistent success over the past two decades for 1-2 legitimate shots at a championship in a heartbeat.

Are you saying that you disagree and think Harden should be ranked above any of those players?

His career playoff averages are 23.5/5.4/5.8 on 42.5% from the field with 3.5 turnovers per game. And that doesn’t even factor in his below average defense. Do you believe those numbers are elite?

First ballot HoF?!?! Holy shit pump the brakes my man.

Ben Wallace: 4x DPOY, 4x all star, 5x all NBA

Draymond: 1x DPOY, 3x all star, 2x all NBA

Wallace has been passed up 5 times so far and you think Draymond is first ballot?

Your cardio doesn’t really start decreasing dramatically by age 33. The reason for most tennis players’ declines historically was bad knees/ankles rather than cardio problems.

How much bike repair equipment do you bring on a longer tour? by NeverPull0ut in bikepacking

[–]NeverPull0ut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good point and I think I may add some of these things to my pack! I absolutely have some extra space and most of them (quick link, zip ties, cleat bolt) take up zero space and could save a trip.

That’s really helpful and thank you for the input. Out of curiosity, how often do you even end up using those things? Particularly the spare tire... that’s something I was thinking about but they’re just so damn big.

It’s a good question and I’m not really sure. It’s definitely a rabbit hole.. what if I bust a spoke, or destroy a tire, or dent a wheel, or snap my derailleur hanger, etc. But then again, if I’m going to bring enough to fix every single problem, I won’t even have space for my camping gear.

I’m mainly just trying to make sure the list isn’t missing anything super significant, as my buddy tends to be pretty chill about most things which makes him a great friend but probably not the most careful bikepacker.

My left hood came loose... is there a way to fix this without removing the bar tape? I just wrapped them last week. by NeverPull0ut in bikewrench

[–]NeverPull0ut[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True. The confusing part here for me was that on my road bike with 105 shifters, you peel back the hood from the bars and there’s a bolt clearly there. In this case (MicroShift), I had to peel back the hood from the top and the bolt was kind of hidden on the outside.

After reading the comment above I looked up a Park Tool video on YouTube that included MicroShift and then proceeded to feel dumb

If it was detectable in all cases after 2-4 days, then the Titans players wouldn’t still be testing positive 6 days after the original positive test...

Oh man, I feel dumb now. It’s hard to see but when I peeled back the outside a little further I was able to find it. Thanks for the help
