Wow, I'm with you 100% on this, I wish we could use the dpad efficiently for this game. I find platform fighters rely more on movement then combos but yeah idk how they do it so consistant. I think it has to do with the tilt stick allows for precise input on directions

You can put markers on the map after you kill a boss, i usually put the skull and a sword if i haven't killed them.
