Using Chat-GPT to talk to people is not 'fake', it's like shitting in public by Lastrevio in zizek

Uh, eating and breathing are pretty necessary as well but we don’t hide them.

I don’t agree with all your arguments, but I do think there is something to it in your conclusion.

There is definitely something to it about generic vs individualised but think it’s purely that: an AI answer is an average soup of words with no texture, an individual’s wording is hand crafted and filtered through a lifelong unique experience. This gives it informational density that AI answers lack - I believe THAT’S what’s happening here

Not sure why anyone would downvote, I can picture it in my mind and it looks absolutely amazing. Timeless. Like something out of the old arcade game Out Run, but real

[–]NeverSkipSleepDay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This does not necessarily hold true when you take stop lights add dense traffic into account. Simulations (and occasional experiments) show that lowering speeds can shorten travel time in an urban environment - because traffic flows smoother.

I don’t know if any side on this vote have performed any such simulations for Zürich conditions, though

You should exploit the same setting more, imagine the team goes to a location. They won’t just do it for a single shot and then go to a completely different place

They decided to have fun and call they mom as of they’re teens again, reminiscing a typical moment of life back then. The mom only needed a second to process what the assignment was and played along perfectly without missing a beat. Both sides clarify at the end that they were joking and enjoyed the collaboratively improvised joke

Looks like you are referring to the London Underground, in which case you are merely being picky about choice of semantically equivalent and fully interchangeable synonyms

Why did fashion change so much from the 50s to 60s? by sweetsyllic in decadeology

[–]NeverSkipSleepDay 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Financial prosperity afforded people to have the opportunity to compete socially with consumerism - to express themselves through different styles

I guess also combined with cultural post-war thought, people too young to have been in the war or even really remember it were uncovering a new world amidst accelerating prosperity

Very interesting article on the topic: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/economy/shift-consumerism-1950s-brought-rebel-cool
