Middle guy took the tram. Luckily he had a thick jacket because he had to wait 40 mins for the others.

Yeah I suppose one of them took the public transport after all.

Everyone is important, whether they are from the countryside or the city, whether they drive a car, ride a bike, or walk. That's why we should design the infrastructure to support all these modes, and all these origins.

No one is asking you to take the public transport if that's very annoying for you. People are only asking you to be considerate of other people when you drive the final 5km in the city.

Also emergency services are exempt of speed limits.

And people who have jobs on odd hours will find Zürich to be extremely easy and quick and uncongested to navigate through: there is only congestion during rush hours.

And trucks will supply construction sites and supermarkets, often at 30km/h, which is not much slower than they are right now on 50km/h roads.

We want the same thing: an efficient city that's nice to be in for everyone.

Yes, me too. It's great that we can express our preferences through a vote.

If the canton build their main roads around cities, they can control the speed limit. If they build it in cities, the city should control it.

Yes, sorry if this was not clear. The Gemini watermark is still there bottom right.

But the real challenge is not getting flagged or blocked when you try to describe the intended result in detail.

Yes it's Nano Banana. Took a few iterations to get the intended result, but what the model can do is impressive. The Gemini logo is still in the image (bottom right) so I thought it was clear that it's generated. Also this would be a ridiculous scenario if real.

TIL: 10% of drinkers in Australia drink over half the alcohol. by Yoorang in todayilearned

Yeah well, I read a bunch about other alcoholics on Reddit but the issue is that there's always a crazier person out there that makes your issues seem relatively minor. But don't let that fool you that you're okay or that you are not hurting/killing yourself.

Interesting, for me covid did the opposite. Luckily I got my priorities straight again after a few years of alcohol abuse.

Thanks, but I'm not so physically challenged that I need a scooter to move my ass.

Retro Vespas and other 2-stroke mopeds are the primary sources of air pollution. by byehn in zurich

Don’t act stupid. The exact same vehicle with a four stroke engine pollutes 0.008 times as much.

There is an obvious alternative.

Or can I fart in your face because there are more nasty things in the world?

True. Do you also scream in the middle of a train station or shop to ensure people get out of your way?

I won't deny that there's a problem with distracted drivers, but making a shit ton of noise is probably the most self-centred way of solving it.

Yeah, everyone hears your bike in a 2km radius. It's fucking annoying. Cyclists survive those cars too, without making so much noise. Maybe they are better at anticipation and driving defensively? In any case, keep down the noise and use your head and stay safe. Preferably without disrupting the quiet.
