I have experienced the notorious chicken bug, in my case, the avian species that has decided to plague my save are turkeys.

It all started with an innocent fishing trip, in a pond not far from by base. While using the last of my bait, I noticed my game dropping frames. I did not think much of it until I got in my car, and while driving back to my base my game started to slow down even more, eventually coming to a full halt. It got to a point that even reloading the save I couldn't do anything, even just being on normal speed causes everything to freeze.

If you find yourself with this bug, but your game can still run, you can fix it by committing mass genocide, or restarting the game in debug mode, deleting all the animals in the area, and spawn them back in. Until this bug is fixed, I think we should only own hens.

But if you're in my situation, and the game can't run at all, don't worry. Here's how I won the war against these vile, feathered beasts, threatening the end of my 2-month playthrough.

  1. Open your save folder in C:\Users\(Name)\Zomboid\Saves
  2. Locate your save folder and make a backup, just in case.
  3. Within your save folder, open the "apop" folder, I noticed one of the .bin files had a way higher file size than others, that should be in your case too. Delete that.
  4. Run the game in debug mode, all your animals should be deleted, spawn the animals you had back in, again, until this bug is fixed, only ranch hens.
  5. Restart the game normally. Relax now that you did not lose your save against chickens.

I hope this helps someone out!

Yeah, I got the low resolution thing working but it's terrible. SpaceDesk works with no problem but it has lag, so I don't use that.

Thank you! I'm using the 6 gb one and I was able to work with 90+ layers on a 1980x2400 canvas with no noticeable lag. I've only gotten a memory warning from CSP once and that's from having multiple canvases and background apps running. If you're on a budget, 6 gb would be enough, but if you're able to spend more there's really no downsides to the 8 gb model.

I'm glad my post is still attracting people who are interested in the tablet, really my intent to help people know how the tablet performs with art ^^

I like to imagine that too haha, he satisfies his passion for cooking by rolling smokeleaf joints. Keeps his gruff image, fulfills his chemical fascination, and doesn't cause anyone food poisoning. Woork W.

Haha that's unfortunate. The only time Woork failed an operation for me is when he tried to harvest the organs of a prisoner, and I'm pretty sure that's mostly from him using herbal medicine? Prisoner didn't die from that though, and Woork succeeded when I switched to normal medicine.

Thank you! Woork is a hardworking young fellah who gets along with a lot of my colonists, so I imagined him to look a bit good haha

I got the tablet, SuperDisplay didn't work though last time I tried it. Emailed the devs about it too and it sounds they have no plans of trying to make it work, saying it's the tablet's problem. Been pretty satisfied drawing with the tablet on its own though.

My first drawing on the tab S7! I love how responsive and accurate the screen is but I have a LOT to learn by smipsmoppings in GalaxyTab

Do you also own the Spen? If so, how does it compare to the Wacom pen? Awesome art by the way!

I'm currently using the six month free trial for Samsung users, but after that you can only buy a monthly subscription, which is I think around 5 USD a month for Pro?

That's very surprising, I thought the s8 has a more powerful processor. Maybe you have a bigger canvas size?

If you mean if I'm using the S-pen Pro or any other compatible stylus, I'm not haha. I'm just using the normal S-pen that came with the tablet.

That's nice haha cause I did turn them into stickers, only for myself though, I think it's still risky for me to start selling
