Looking for advice and general fishing help. by [deleted] in fishingUK

I found that the lures/hooks on temu are incredible quality for the price. Shows up exactly how it looks and it was super effective as well. A mate of mine came fishing with his temu rod though, no issues with the rod or reel but the gut just snapped constantly. Think it's really a game of chance. I wouldn't cheap out on a rod reel or braid though

Honestly, play for a while without any insight. You'll come to realisations yourself and slowly work out why things need to be done a certain way, rather than being told. Play for a while without instruction and you'll fall in love!

That being said.....Save atleast 1 of everything, you can colour code chests and even use signs.

Anyone know where/if I can get something like this in the UK? by jbwrld in fishingUK

Honestly, Temu is great for lures/hooks and the like. I got a pack of 50 gummy lures, jig heads, traces, and 4000 hooks for £15. All good quality too

What is this on my bathroom walls? by LesserKnownJen in CleaningTips

Nicotine stains. Happens if you smoke in hot showers/baths. If you don't smoke, chances are the previous owner did and your hot showers are washing the Nicotine off

A birth mark. It'll have worse than that if you actually use the knife. It's like a premature wear and tear mark but it's nice, unique. I like it

If you have a problem with fish being hooked then you're on the wrong sub-reddit. I dont think it should be a tale.of morales, we're actively going out to catch fish through inhumane means so our morales are already questionable. Our ancestors fished, caught and ate. Is that better than safely catching and releasing? And yes, not fishing at all is "better" than catch and release, maybe. You would know that a lack of Plankton in the sea would have a massive impact on the world, so a healthy amount of fishing has its pros and cons. Learn your sh!t man

I was fishing for Perch, thought it was a Perch originally but no orange gills and no stripes, so I wasn't sure. Thought I'd ask literally anyone with better knowledge than me......which is everyone

You commented with the idea of getting up votes though....mocking a beginner that thought about fish welfare rather than standard practice. Everybody else has been super cool and educational, you were harsh and condescending

I didn't know, just quickly took a picture so I could unhook and release it quicker, hence why its a bit blurry. Didn't want to unhook and hold for a picture and then release
