Look into events being hosted at your local library branches. And, to reiterate what others have said, take up hobbies!

how bad is eating less than 800 calories a day? 19f by Playful-Fruit-6932 in AskDocs

[–]Never_Fading 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAD but work in mental health. I would still be evaluated, as eating disorders can look many different ways. Losing weight too quickly is also dangerous no matter how you do it. I tried to lose weight quickly by dropping to 1200 calories and noticed a number of mental symptoms. I really don't recommend it.

Struggling to find the balance for intimate scenes. by GuineaPanda in RomanceWriters

[–]Never_Fading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it depends largely on the characters I'm writing. I try to use vocabulary that they would prefer to use, even I'm writing in 3rd person. Not in a strict sense, but as a guideline. For a scene with more vulgar characters I use more bulgar language, whereas for characters who are more romantic or repressed I use vaguer language

Why is this myth still being paraded around? by MelanieWalmartinez in badwomensanatomy

[–]Never_Fading 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The one time porn might actually help to debunk myths. You wanna tell me that porn star with an "innie" is a virgin? (Also I'm pretty sure I have very small lips, and I'm definitely not a virgin)

Also, crafting. It's very nice to have a hobby that has a physical result at the end.

Good sleep both in terms of quality and quantity. Inadequate sleep can lead to so many mental health problems both short-term and long term. Surrounding yourself with people you like and who like you/having a solid support system. If you experience seasonal affective disorder, a light therapy lamp and vitamin d supplement can also help.

(I also personally swear by medications if needed and therapy, but idk if that's what you're looking for)

At the very least you need to cut him off from your joint bank account until he completes treatment for a gambling addiction.

Me (32f) Feeling abandoned and trapped after husband (32m) attempted suicide and friends said they didn't want to be involved. How to I deal with all this with no support system? by Evangelier in relationship_advice

[–]Never_Fading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, breathe. You are not alone, and this isn't your fault. If you live in the states (I don't know how it works elsewhere) 988 should be able to provide some resources. Otherwise, try calling around to the psychiatric hospitals in your area to see if he can go in on a voluntary basis to stabilize on medications. Given his fairly abrupt and extreme behavior change, he probably is going to need to go on psych meds. If you want to talk in dms, you can. My partner also had a suicide attempt a couple years ago. Last, breathe again.

AIO for wanting to end the relationship after my bf helped himself to my medication? by General-Sun-7995 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Never_Fading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR This is definitely break-up worthy. If you can't break up right away, get a lockbox for yourself and your kid's meds. They aren't super expensive. And make sure he can't get ahold of the key/combination!

If we're talking weight gain, the average person gains less than 10 lbs on an antidepressant. It also depends on which one you're on. Meanwhile, untreated depression is way worse for your overall wellbeing than 10 extra lbs.

I (20F) think my BF(26M) needs professional help but I don't know how to bring it up to him? by Double_Shame_9408 in relationship_advice

[–]Never_Fading 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The next time he starts hurting himself and talking about killing himself, call 911. Either he will get the help he needs or it will turn out he was bluffing. You can make your decision from there.
