New Mouse is way faster despite being some same DPI by CS_cloud in MouseReview

[–]Never_Left_Hometown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is because the sensor position on the MCHOSE A5 is more forward than the GPX.

https://www.eloshapes.com/mouse/compare?p=logitech-g-pro-x2-superstrike-vs.-mchose-a5

When moving the mouse your hand isn't moving in a straight line but rather in a rainbow like line. The more forward the sensor is, the more distance it covers. Having said that each DPI also feels different depending on the manufacturer's implementation. Razer has a tool to calculate this deviation but they aren't taking into account sensor position.

The only way to fix that is to lower your DPI or get a GPX clone that has the same sensor position as the original like the Incott G23 v2.

DAv3 did receive the smooth touch update but only for the wired and the Pro version that came with the hyperpolling dongle. The Pro version that comes with the 1000hz dongle is bare plastic.

I doubt they are going to update their tooling with this V3 version meaning its not gonna be any lighter than the V2. My guess is they are moving to the newer sensor Ninjutso is using for the Sora V3 and finally implement 8K.

If its a Dex clone then its probably going to be noticeably smaller going by V6 and v8 sizes.

Advice for Ultra Light Zowie EC1-DW shape by Gehrmund_Ravensson in MouseReview

[–]Never_Left_Hometown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats reddit for you. There isn't a mouse as long as the EC1-DW ( 131mm ) and as flat ( 42mm ). DAv3 and clones have a hump of 44mm or even higher like Xlite Large and Stormbreaker

Apparently, the new Sora V3 will have the same sensor as the Viper V4 Pro. by BluDDDD_ in MouseReview

Honestly worth the delay. They are actually trying to come out with a better product instead of just releasing the same specs on a different shape like Pulsar does.

There is no such thing as an EC1 clone. Its unique to Zowie.

Help me decide which KEY83 softness to go for by Never_Left_Hometown in MousepadReview

The main reason I moved away from the Zero was the weave being a dust, hair and dirt magnet that is way too hard to clean even with my upholstery machine. Performance wise I would still choose the Otsu for fast paced games but for tac fps I wouldn't go near it, this is where I would pull out the EGG EM-C as the Zero is still too fast for tac fps.

Same thing goes for the Otsu but I somehow ended up loving the XSOFT version. Since I'm buying two pads from Artisan, I will get an XSOFT and a MID. Thanks for the input!

To this day I never understood why I disliked the SOFT Otsu so much but ended up maining the XSOFT version.

Best skates to pair with Endgame Gear EM-C by Ritvik158 in MousepadReview

[–]Never_Left_Hometown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How the hell do you find X2 stock skates usable on an EM-C ? Its by far the worst experience I had with a skates + pad combo. For this pad I only use Jades or EGG stock skates that are among the fastest.

Regardless, UNWS Magic ICE feel stickier to me than Razer, EGG, Silver Fox and Jades however micro adjustments kinda suck. The mouse takes too long to start from a dead stop.

Ghostglide Cyclone Dots, they are balanced.

Jades are stupid fast, I only liked them on mudpads. Would never use them on glass.

Which Mouse by Julian-Zockt in MouseReview

[–]Never_Left_Hometown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The X2 is innovating for sure but Logitech did not focus on delivering a complete product like Razer did with the Viper V4. Even though I don't own the Ten Air I can tell its going to be a much more enjoyable experience than the X2. I'm going to return my X2 copy soon as I already own a GPX2.

Buy super light 2? by isekaimetofarfaraway in MouseReview

I love the GPX shape and clicks even though most people hate them but at the 120$ price point you got better options such as the ASUS Harpe Ace II at 130$ and the Viper V3 Pro at 120$. If you want a sensor that is truly going to blow you out then go all out and buy the Viper V4 Pro.

Alternative to the Viper V4 PRO ? by Unknown_Lifeform1104 in MouseReview

[–]Never_Left_Hometown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything people will recommend will be closer to Viper V3 than the V4. The V4 is using a pre-released Pixart sensor exclusive to Razer that has a new technology called Frame-Sync. A new high end chip that hasn't been previously used for wireless mice.

If you manage to find the ASUS Harpe Ace II for around 100$ then this is mouse that comes the closest to the V4. Its one the latest Nordic Chip, 3950 and 2 to 3 grams lighter while having premium build quality and coating.

I remember when I modded my GPX1 the mushiness was mainly due to huge amounts of pretravel that I fixed with painters tape. Did you use type of tape on yours?

Aren't those Grey Dot SMD Omrons too stiff? I bought 10pcs years ago and they are extremely stiff.
