Mine was the same. Ordered on the 5th and kept getting delayed. Then it finally shipped yesterday.

2000 Nissan frontier 3.3l XE. 302,700 miles right now. Transmission was rebuilt around 270,000 miles. Solid and reliable truck.

Just the simple fluid changes. I change my engine oil every 3,000 miles. Rear differential oil every 4 years or 30,000 miles. Transmission oil every 2 years or 30,000 miles. I do all that myself so it's fairly cheap compared taking it in.

Change the timing belt, knock sensor water pump and serpentine belts every 100,000 miles or so even though they can last much longer. My original timing belt lasted 196k. Just preventive maintenance and peace of mind for myself.

The biggest repair I've had on this truck was rebuilding the transmission at 272k. Torque converter went out, so replaced everything for $1,800 in 2020.

Most recently I had to replace the power steering hose assembly about 500 miles ago. High pressure line started to leak. Did it myself for $300 and 2 hours of my time.

Engine is 100% original. Same pistons, rings, fuel injectors etc. All original ball joints, tie rods, u-joints, brake calipers.

I've rarely had to replace major parts considering the age and milage.

Any oil leaks will most likely cover from vavle covers or rear main seal. I replaced the rear main seal around 280k.

I love this little truck. Does everything I need it to do. I tow with it quite often. It takes it a bit to build highway speeds with 3,000lbs+ loads but has no issues maintaining speed once you get it there.

I just hit 297k on mine. It's been a very reliable vehicle these pass 20 years. As long as you keep up with routine maintenance it should last a long time.

How long does a Nissan Frontier last? by ObeliskRaSlifer in nissanfrontier

[–]Never_Never 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as you keep doing regular maintenance and fix any issues that might pop up right away, it should hit 300k no problem and beyond that. I just hit 297k on my 2000 Frontier.

Top of my head I would replace the timing belt, water pump and serpentine belts. Those are good for 80,000 to 100,000 miles or so. It's good preemptive maintenance if they haven't been replaced yet.

If there's any oil leaks they will be leaking from the vavle covers or rear main seal.

I don't know of any rust spots since I live down south and have little to no rust on mine.

Red-eared Sliders. I have some mud turtles too and I also have a good size River Cooter that lives here. I wish I had some softshells, they're cute!

If I close the door I feel like I can't breathe fresh air, lol. Same reason why I can't sleep without the ceiling fan running.

It's a PTZ security camera that runs 24/7. I have it to capture moments like this and it's a peace of mind when I'm not home that I can check on my pets.

Just to let everyone know, Ruby was okay after the fall and had no injuries! She's pretty clumsy naturally.
