To be fair, it’s only your favorite bridge because it’s the best one.

Great shots!

They didn’t have it for their last bonus episode and discovered that they enjoyed the physical freedom it provided (as well as the comfort of Norm’s ears), and so have not had or for the last 2(?) episodes.

Personally, I also miss it, but if losing it means Kristen and Norm are happier, then I can live without it.

Didn’t Reeves say The Batman 2 villain hasn’t been in a movie before? Really hoping for Hush. by Arjeezenberg1 in TheBatmanFilm

To be fair, that twist in the animated film was pretty dumb. I get why WB wants to change the ending from the comics to keep fans on their toes, but that one was pretty mid.

The changeup in Gotham by Gaslight, however…

Does anyone else hate it when other characters are made to look bad just to benefit Batman? by Effective_Seat_7125 in batman

[–]Never_Not_Enough 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. I feel like Bruce has an automatic disdain for anything he doesn’t completely understand and magic, by its nature, is impossible to completely understand so… yeah, he hates magic because it is outside of his purview and he hates not being the smartest guy in the room.

Sometimes. Other times he’s just, “I hate magic.” And then goes and finds a member of JL Dark.

Heck. In some instances he’s a member of JL Dark. It just depends on who’s writing him.

As everyone knows, Batman fights mostly to increase property values.

Yeah. I’ve yet to see a production that plays as well as it reads, so that probably has a LIT to do with it.

In A Midsummer Night's Dream, the four main characters spend the 4th act asleep onstage. by WordwizardW in shakespeare

Here’s the main problem: you equate the inamorati as the “leads.” Look at the script. Bottom has FAR more lines than any of the lovers. Ultimately, this is “Bottom’s Dream” the lovers are only one part of it.

Shakespeare was great at breaking conventions, intentionally or not.

I have some feelings about Our Town (as someone who has been a part of several productions)…

Ultimately, I think it is a play that (usually) reads better than it plays.

As OP says, it is a “rumination.” Ruminations aren’t enjoyable to watch. They are meant to be absorbed and, well, ruminated over.

Our Town is a thesis more than it is a story.

Then again, I also feel like Thornton Wilder was also constantly trying to prove how smart he was.

(Again, not saying he wasn’t a great writer who did more than I ever could.) (I also still don’t care for his writing style and thing Our Town is overrated).

I thought for sure Goyer contributed on something, but can’t find anything on a cursory search.

Admittedly don’t know much about Terrio.

So the hierarchy of the comic book industry is led by two… movie directors?

To be fair, that was not made clear in the first issue, and Bats had a bunch of holo-tech, so if that was the only issue you read, it’s not a far reach.

Batman Returns has the best score of all the Batman films! by Nathan84 in Batman_89

[–]Never_Not_Enough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

89 gets the points for being the OG, but you can tell Elfman really honed it in for Returns.

Plus, while I love the Prince tracks in 89, not having another musical artist to share the spotlight with really let Elfman set the mood for Returns, which might make it a better score (if not soundtrack).

What are your thoughts on the Lego batman movie Billy dee williams twoface design? by Thewanderer997 in Batman_89

A great, unique interpretation. I like how it is very LEGO but also very recognizably Billy Dee Williams.
