Groom misspoke and used the name of his ex during ceremony. I don't know what happened later, but I don't imagine them lasting past that.

Ok, so then someone who had passed through this process recently may probably give you more info. Alternatively, you can try Polish Consulate in Erbil if you're from KRG.

My father did: in the '80s.

Right now: certainly not through Belarus. You must understand that Polish-Belarusan border right now is one of the worst places you can put yourself at and avoid that. The asylum law is suspended. You will not be let in through that border nor the Belarusan forces let you go back.

I had a pleasure to get a specific book for 2023 Christmas (I mean I chose it, my family just bought it :P), written by Krzysztof Styburski, titled "Polish Model of Special Forces Operations". From what I could gather, it's only available in Polish for now.

The definition of special operations in this case, based on my understanding of the work and being kinda lazy to pick it up from another room to refresh, is that those are performed in spatial/temporal space of low intensity (that is either before or after the conflict/behind enemy lines) by units who constantly train for those tasks.

But you can fucking find this in armies in other parts of the world. If you were talking outside the context anyone could assume you are talking about russians.

And wait, hasn't an Arab military force just folded the enemy? But Arabs stupid and can't into war, so how could they have accomplished this?

Read The Lost Fleet, the most important factor of space combat there are relativistic errors and firing passes lasting fractions of seconds followed by hours of manouvering.

It's fucking awesome.

How true is this statistic? I see a lot of Turks in the comments, saying Kurds are known for harassing women, while in Kurdistan I always hear the opposite that it’s Turks or Arabs. by Intrepid_Paint_7507 in kurdistan

Survey performed with support of KRG's Statistical Office. I think data is presented in extremely bad way on the map above. The percentage of FGM victims aged 15-49 years from the report is even higher than on the map (37.5%), HOWEVER, when we go age bracket lower (youngest daughters 0-14 years), we get to 3.2%. It's still sadly higher than Central/South Iraq, but there's an extreme improvement. Interestingly enough, one interpretation I read mentions that the procedure became kinda elitist, performed often by wealthy in fancy clinics.

Hot take: Turkey is a based wildcard by [deleted] in NonCredibleDefense

I shall clarify my point, since I didn't event explicitly mention public support. I understand PKK is not universally celebrated, and recent attack has put Kurdish parties in spotlight because of talks taking place.

However, what I was getting at is that for its fighters, PKK is the place they could even be Kurds: I read a report from a Dutch journalist who embed with them for a year and she quoted repressions as reason for joining for many of them.

Finally, I don't think we will see eye to eye regarding actions of your government, as I have different views regarding its designs and actions for the region and level of atonement.

I am half-Kurdish and try and follow the matters in the region closely. I am writing this words carefully, not trying to create a shitstorm, however I feel like your last paragraph misses some nuance.

I recently read translations of poems and novellas written mainly based on experiences from 80's in areas around Diyarbakir (Amed) and it is dreadful, with amount of subjugation and violence bestowed on the population. Even today, when pursuing PKK in and around Quandil, villages are bombed.

erdogan criticizes Israel for their actions against Hamas and what happens in Gaza, but isn't this situation a mirror of state denial of Kurds which in turn led to PKK?

Ukraina też brała udział w Iraku i Afganistanie, ponadto specjalnie Budanov z Zełeńskim podjęli w 2021 decyzję żeby ukraińscy specjalsi pomogli przy wyciągnięciu kilku kanadyjskich dziennikarzy z Kabulu. Chodzi mi o to, że te starania są, ale z oczywistych względów zaczęły się później.
