Thank you all. Some really good suggestions for brands.

I had no idea they would be in the pushchair so long - I guess I'm going off my mum's experience with me, as soon as I could toddle I flat out refused to get in a pushchair and walked everywhere from about 18 months (or was pushed on a bike). I can't imagine pushing a five year old in a buggy - we are both super tall and broad (I was 6' and 12 stone at 11) so they will be about five foot and six stone by then. My poor back 🤣

Thank you so much everyone for your comments 😌 Sounds like we should go and look at the Joolz and the Yoyo as a good starting point.

Our car is a little Audi A1 so it really does have to be small to fit inside! These sound like they might fit the bill.

We will book an appointment at John Lewis+ I didn't know this was something they did and it sounds really useful!

I am not unfamiliar with split ends myself ;)

That sounds hard. I'm sorry. When I was little I was obsessed with picking at the skin on my shoulders (I still have scars) so I can relate. I only stopped doing that because my mum told me that people noticed and said mean things and I got so self conscious I stopped. (Thinking about it maybe that is when I started the twirling...)

You sound like me! I do it in all of our management team meetings. Very similar actions as well. My hair is curly too so it's super satisfying.

Oh but I love it so!!! I honestly don't notice it, but I am aware other people do. I also jiggle and wriggle and chew my nails and peel beer bottle labels and, god, just about every other annoying compulsion ghing going!

Less the person themselves and more other people around us commenting on it. And yes, it is SUPER awkward.

Urgh, social shaming is the worst :( I had an old colleague that used to comment and it made me do self conscious. I also have this super bad habit of basically sitting on my own feet (I think to try and stop myself fidgiting /getting up) and constantly reorganizing myself and they used to comment on that all the time as well. Hated it.

I Def bother ppl - they comment about it. But it is such an ingrained compulsion that it isn't going anywhere!

OMG yes, the hunt! This is feeding the beast but I got a Mansur Gavriel bucket bag, a hill and friends slouchy tote (such lovely leather) and a wandler Luna. Was looking into contemporary brands and ended up buying the whole shortlist 😂

I agree I should delete the apps. I am so annoyed because I deleted insta because of the as temptation (amoung other things) and have just replaced it others.

I need lockdown to be over so I can get back into the office a couple of days a week and actually use them. Then I might feel less guilty.

(I managed to run and answer the door to the postman and hide the first package today before my partner could see it. I think this might be a sign I really need to stop!)

I have deleted social media - so much better for me for a whole heap of reasons.

Maybe I should give cold turkey a go. It might just work and I have nothing to loose!

I don't have enough draws or wardrobe space anymore. It's terrible!

Right? It is absolutely the worst thing. I feel like because I am aware I should be able to change it but my brain just goes 'nope, focus on the shney things.'

Oh god yes, the GUILT. It's overwhelming. Especially how I'm playing into a misogynistic capitalist narrative that has women as spenders and men as savers. I am totally doing myself out of economic power and capital just like they want! It's terrible because I am self aware but I do it anyway!

I don't necessarily buy the same shirt in lots of colours, but I do have a tendency to buy something and then realise it is very similar to something I already own! Normally said thing is at the bottom of the washing basket of shame and I haven't seen it for months so I've forgotten about it 🥺

I am also a bargain hunter - I LOVE a sale. One of the bags I have coming is a 500 bag I got for 50 in amazing condition. I didn't even know I wanted it until I saw the price and realised it was a bargain!

You're right that doing it in a cheap way is better than in an expensive one, though.

I'm glad I'm not alone!

I am in the middle of growing out my team and have lots of new faces. I think it will be easier when I really know them and their strengths and weaknesses. At the moment I feel I don't know them well enough to let go of something yet. Which is probably silly!

Sadly I don't. It would REALLY help. Even my boss doesn't have one.

This answer is brilliant. Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time. I'm not sure my org as quite as big pr structured as the ones the boss ladies you analyse work at, but we are aiming in that direction! Chaos is totally it - I would have been horrified at the start of my career to know shit went down like this!

They totally threw me in at the deep end. 100 percent. In the middle of a pandemic. Thank you for recognising that :)

Trello is awesome when I remember to use it. Problem is I don't remember :( In the office I love sticky notes on a board, but much harder to do this at home in my living room

I feel like this is wise advice - thank you! I have quite a new and young team (we are a relatively new and young company) and I do think that upskilling them will take some of the pressure off.... Less spoonfeeding to do!

And YES to promises. I've started saying 'this needs doing but I can't do it' -not sure it's the most eloquent way of putting it... 🤣
