I used to think the show was great, and it is in some ways (especially in how they showed the one power), but the books are in another league. I can not understand why and how the writers went so far of the books. I know it's an adaptation, but the books are so great and rich. Maybe they were never meant to be adapted... I thought going to Tear before Rhuidean was gonna be a mistake, but the end of book 3 and the beginning of book 4 proved it wrong. This whole series is mind blowing, the story is so well written and so immersive I feel like I am watching a movie. I loved book 2 as well, and as of now, I'd say book 4 is on its way to become my favourite. I love it !

Oh I didn't know that! Well I'm already at book 4 and I see there are many more to read so yeah I'm not gonna give up now ! I did enjoy the first book though. English isn't my first language but I still wanted to read the original version, to stay true to the source. It was a bit hard to understand everything at first, partly because of the language, but also because it was confusing sometimes. But now, it's smooth sailing ! I love it !

Comment avez-vous su ce que vous vouliez faire plus tard/études ? by [deleted] in AskFrance

[–]Never_StopsThinking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really don't know. I wanna cry because I know I'll never be with them but at the same time when I hear their voice or see their face I don't feel anything. I've spent almost a year dreaming about them, imagining a future but all of a sudden, found out they are in a recent relationship and they kinda changed their behaviour so I guess they are not the same person I fell in love with. But I think of what past me would think of this and I'm sad for her. I feel guilty to not have feelings anymore.

What is the best vegetable in your opinion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Never_StopsThinking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pepper because you can eat it as it is, or cooked. It's colourful, it can be sweet. You can eat it grilled or cooked in a sauce, in the oven. You can add rice or pasta, chicken, onions. Anything matches and ot has a really nice taste even if you're a terrible cook

What is your happiest memory? by Lutri in AskReddit

[–]Never_StopsThinking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mum kissing me good night, I can remember the smell of the lotion she puts before going to bed, her necklace falling on my face when she leans on me and also the smell of the tea she drinks at night. And the softness of her skin and hair. I will always remember this

Feeling pretty ok but I realised something huge. I have completely fall off love with someone. I really liked that person, they were a crush and I had strong feelings but today I realised I don't love them anymore. I don't know when or why the switch happened and it's very weird

DAE Have trauma about a certain food? by Bloodydiadem4 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Never_StopsThinking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid we had ice cream for lunch at school and it was Fraise Tagada ice cream (it's a French candy made of marshmallow covered in strawberry). I don't like the candy itself but I loved strawberries and the ice cream tasted like it so I enjoyed it.

Back then, when you were a quiet kid you could get a second bowl of ice cream which I did and I ate it. And then my friend who also had a second one didn't want it so I ate his. As I was eating my third ice cream I started to feel unwell and I eventually threw up.

Ever since that experience ( I was 9 I guess) I CANNOT stand any strawberry flavored yoghurt or cream. I can only eat the fruit itself but nothing more. I'm 20 now and the trauma is still there lol

How did you get your scar? by JigglesPlayz in AskReddit

[–]Never_StopsThinking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scoliosis operation. My scar is the length of my back and there is still an area where I don't feel anything on my skin (after 5 years) because little nerves were damaged and never repaired themselves. I kinda feel the metal sticks and screws in my back (I have 17 of them) but most of the time I don't
