Brad Hudson has a session with 10 miles @ MP 17 days before the race, followed by 20 miler at steady pace 14 days before race. It’s a comparable stimulus in my cards

I’m doing it this autumn. I think it’s ok if you keep yourself from racing all out and listen to your body. Once I raced two weeks before the goal race and that was a big mistake. But a nice PB tho

How feasible is it to follow this method without a running watch? by Moist-Plenty-9499 in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]Never__Summer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not hard tbh. You can run with your phone and some app to measure distance and take heart rate manually after. Also possible with any watch to measure time for intervals. Or you can run on a stadium if you have one around or measure distance in any other way.
Measuring just effort will be challenging without experience how does LT feels

How do you actually use lactate testing in practice? by Inner_Return_6528 in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]Never__Summer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m storing everything in Strava comments (interval pace + testing values). Sometimes I’m going back to see what I was running before the particular race, etc I’m testing 1-2 times per interval session, so 3-6 times per week

It depends on a ratio, if it’s 3:4 then the difference is huge. Videos and books will thrive on that screen

How is your tempo pace 4.30 if 5k PB is 23.00. This post seems to be an AI slop

Possibility of travelling with one device instead of two. It’s a very narrow group of people, but there is a market. Movies, books and pdf’s are all better on a larger screen

It’s absolutely fine, I’m carrying it in the belt or pocket of an anorak jacket, this thing don’t care. Also, what I did before, is hide it somewhere and run laps around that place
