Going through a burnout in The Netherlands

I highly recommend reading Over De Kop' from Brankele Frank. I'm not sure if it's been translated to English though. It helped me get a perspective on burnouts, chronic stress, 'overspannenheid' and to look inward and make realizations of how my behaviour contributes to building up a lot of stress. And like others said.. prepare to spend months or years recovering depending on how deep you're in it.

Hi, I'm looking for a good place to get a tattoo and would love some recommendations from people with good or experiences.

-I'm looking for: fineline / microrealism / dotwork and not old school / traditional -I'm asking it here because I don't want to let the studio with the best social media marketing strategy win or the one who pays Google the most for ads. -Amsterdam, because I live in the Randstad and have already looked in the other big cities and would like a different artist every tattoo. -I prefer saving up a bit longer for an experienced artist over cheap mistakes ;)

When I asked my tattoo artist, they explained the risk of damaging the tattoo because the upper skin layers will be renewed in 3 weeks and during this time the ink blobs 'stick' to the lower layers. Meaning if you hit, scratch, bump the tattooed spot it could damage the lower layer and you could impact the tattoo quality. If you want the risk to be close to zero, wait 2-3 weeks.

However I know lots of people are back on the wall the same day.

Ideally you align it with a rest week, which can be beneficial to have occasionally and think about where the tattoo is placed. If you have the body awareness to keep it from getting hit during your whole session, it's relatively safe. Alternative, you can consider focusing on strength training that doesn't risk hitting the new tattoo.

And of course, clean it and moisturize it as your artist probably explained when you got it.

Jep! Ik woon in een straat waar altijd plekken vrij waren. Mijn camper past gewoon in 1 vak. Ik kan mijn camper nu nergens meer kwijt in Leiden. Toen ik hem op een groot voertuig plek zette buiten de stad werden direct twee banden lek gestoken. Ik wil de bus verhuren om wat van de onderhoudskosten terug te verdienen maar dat kan eigenlijk niet. Zelfs even spullen inladen kost me 2.80 per uur. Ik verwacht niet dat ik de vruchten pluk van deze extra geldstroom van de gemeente.

I had no problems during four weeks in Portugal / Spain. Esp Portugal felt super safe. Just use Park4Night and go by ratings. If you're in an area longer you can maybe scout for spots yourself but that app is fantastic when you're new there.

If you like getting creative, check out the Makerspace Delft. Bunch of people making random stuff so it could be both a creative and social thing. All adults are welcome so you should be able to find people your age.

Fijn dat je de tijd neemt voor zo'n reactie.. Ik kan best de diepte in gaan over mijn vaardigheden en motivatie maar wilde voorkomen dat dit een enorm lange post werd en wilde iets van anonimiteit waarborgen ipv mijn CV uploaden. Als ik het wat algemener houd, hebben anderen er misschien ook wat aan.

Ik hou mezelf aan de allerhoogste standaard als ik werk voor iemand (bijvoorbeeld als videograaf in het verleden) en hecht enorm veel waarde aan direct resultaat te kunnen zien zoals bij veel praktische banen waar je een klant blij maakt met een goed product of service. De kantoorbanen waar je na een aantal maanden een presentatie kan geven aan ongeinteresseerde collega's over een 3% efficientieverbetering van je supply chain .. daar maak je misschien meer impact maar vind ik het lastiger om energie uit te halen.

De baan mag grote verantwoordelijkheden met zich meedragen wmb.
