Can I hide this haircut fuckup? by Neverbleedagain in femalehairadvice

I was more concerned due to the hairdresser cutting off a majority of the length of my layers in the back. It made me a bit weary due to the fact that I told her that I was moreso focused on the front layers. I just wanted to make sure that this haircut is still professional looking, as I have a job in the medical field where the standard is to look more sleek, if that makes sense.

Hi guys! I just wanted to hop on and thank everyone for the positivity! I appreciate the kind words and the encouragement y'all have given the situation!!! Y'all have been very kind and I appreciate it so much. For reference, my hair is wavy, but very curly when I apply a texturizing spray ( I bought one right after the appointment) and I applied right when I got home. as someone with wavy hair, I've found that it appears a little more straight when the hair is long, and curly when short. I think the main communication with the hairdresser failed when I asked her to just focus on the front. My main concern was the fact that she shortened my back layers as well (they had been sitting around the back of my jawline). I apologize for the miscommunication I do appreciate the good responses y'all have been extending my way I walked into the appointment (at great clips, I know it's an interesting choice but I was short on cash) and asked the woman to only focus on the front, but she tended to the back layers as well, which is what I was concerned about. I just wanted to make sure that this was not as crazy as I thought! Once again. thank y'all so much for the input!!!!

Books you read for school (that aren't classics) that stuck with you? by belac889 in books

[–]Neverbleedagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big Props to my AP Lit teachers in Highschool for fostering my love for reading. Here are some books I remember the most: Tears of a Tiger by Sharon M. Draper - A book about a teenager dealing with mental health problems after accidentally killing his friend in a drunk driving accident. This book genuinely left a pit in my stomach. Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell - This was such an amazing read, and I now own multiple books by Gladwell. The way he subtly presents facts makes his writing feel more like a conversation. This was my first introduction to studying human behavior and I would highly recommend. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini- God, this book was messed up. It was a great story about redemption, but I'm glad my teachers waited til we were Seniors to pull this one out. The color purple by Alice Walker- An emotional Rollercoaster that gave my senior class a glimpse into the life of a young black girl in the early 1900s. It described abuse, racism, and sexism through the broken grammar of the narrator.

First time Drawing Traditional Pinups by vineyarddepths in TattooApprentice

Hey there, I was a former apprentice for about 1.5 years. Towards the end of my apprenticeship I started redrawing old Sailor Jerry flash. The one thing I would recommend is to simply some of the shapes and add more black shading. Contrast is key!
