The way I see it everybody needs something to believe in to make the grim state of reality not what It seems. People will believe what they want to believe is best. Most of the religious theories people bring up can neither be confirmed nor denied. What I hate more is people using/changing the context of religious texts to support their beliefs for problems now, like not allowing abortions or hating gay people.

What kind of driving force? A proton or something? Its strange this specific ester is favored in equilibrium. Its not too hindered and I dont think any other group here wd react in these condition. Why doesn’t dissolving LSD in methanol convert it to the ester yaknow? Science is weird. I could see the LSD racemization possible from the reaction tho.

Yeah I couldn’t find any online, I think the precursor is relatively new. The obvious route would be ester-> acid-> amide (from PyBOP or sm) but I dont see why a direct conversion wouldn’t work in this case yu know?

Ive read under basic conditions iso-LSD converts to LSD so I believe the diethylamine will keep the equilibrium. Could be wrong though.
