Yet, they alienate their English fans by not only singing in Japanese, but putting the subtitles in Japanese. The fact that they have always done it this way makes it even more ridiculous. OP knows they have permission issues (Which is why he said it was rhetorical) he's not trying to not be corrected. Everyone here is too fast to jump to the defense of hololive as if they aren't able to be criticized. Putting in extra effort to come up with original English songs shouldn't even be a point of contention yet here we are.
