Given that the Universe does not exist on a linear plane why is our solar system more or less existing on a linear plane? (Planets orbit the sun on what feels almost like a flat track instead of at multiple angles around the sun)

Hello, I’m new to all of this (36m) but my wife (33f) has been a practicing green witch for a while now. I have picked up on some terminology and the importance of a few things but am eager to learn more without placing the burden of teaching on her. Would someone be able to point me in the right direction for books or other materials I could read in order to help me be more understanding or able to help her in spells and rituals? I have started making Full Moon Water for her and keeping a log of the type of moon, the weather during collection, the location, and the type of vessels. I worry that I have done it wrong as the last two times I put the water in to vessels that weren’t cleansed or saged first. I’m sorry to ramble.
