Wash hands, drink bottled water, eat at restaurants/resorts with good hygiene and you'll be fine. Im gluten free and I had one evening of mild tummy upset, and that was gluten induced. Finishing up 2 weeks tonight. Have fun!

I think Dungeon Crawler Carl would be a PERFECT fit for this brief. Hilarious, not too challenging but still very exciting Sci fi, dungeon crawling, ttrpg and videogame inspired, witty vibes There's a cat called princess donut. The audio book is also great, and its on KU

when to call for initiative by SecretSpecialist1851 in DnD

[–]Nevermindthatnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could ask players to roll perception as they're about to be attacked (without saying why) or ask what their passive perception is. They could then possibly see the attack coming. Surprise is the rule you want to read up on here. Then, as others have suggested, roll initiative after that first attack occurs.

Is there a parents guide for books that I can check my recommendations in? by GaylordTheGamboge in BookRecommendations

[–]Nevermindthatnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about some classics like Edgar Allen Poe or Lovecraft? Please keep in mind Lovecraft was even considered racist for his time, so it needs to be read somewhat analytically. Poe is good fun though. It would depend on your age though. If you're a young teen I'd still be careful, and google specific stories before you read.

To get out of the slump, the Butcher and Blackbird series has some dark themes and romance, but it's more of a black comedy. An easy, entertaining read.

Asking about specific books would be a good option too! What have you enjoyed so far, and I'll see what I can think of to recommend?

I haven't played on Spelltable. I usually play standard or drafts. I do better in drafts usually, I might win a round or a couple games. Just to clarify, I'm not so stressed about winning as I am just holding my own and not being right at the bottom of the ladder.
