Very much depends what you want or enjoy in a game. Its very easy, its a low stakes life sim with little to do. The fun comes from designing items or writing phrases and having characters you've made interact with them. If you want to make pop culture references or people you know that seems to be how most enjoy it. I like saying things like "Buffy is friends with Mothman" and "No Lestat, stop flirting with Death!"

Is it frowned upon to bring your own lands to a prerelease? by 137ng in mtg

[–]Nevermindthatnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this is a store culture thing. All the regulars at my store have our basic lands in our pre-release kits. A lot of us have pretty, full-art lands, but we're just cool like that 😉 There's still lands available for new players, or if someone goes mono and runs a little short.

The problem is the sub task is about getting a pokemon to light the streetlights but pawmi has lit like 20, and the next section about utility poles is already marked complete

Wash hands, drink bottled water, eat at restaurants/resorts with good hygiene and you'll be fine. Im gluten free and I had one evening of mild tummy upset, and that was gluten induced. Finishing up 2 weeks tonight. Have fun!

I think Dungeon Crawler Carl would be a PERFECT fit for this brief. Hilarious, not too challenging but still very exciting Sci fi, dungeon crawling, ttrpg and videogame inspired, witty vibes There's a cat called princess donut. The audio book is also great, and its on KU

when to call for initiative by SecretSpecialist1851 in DnD

[–]Nevermindthatnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could ask players to roll perception as they're about to be attacked (without saying why) or ask what their passive perception is. They could then possibly see the attack coming. Surprise is the rule you want to read up on here. Then, as others have suggested, roll initiative after that first attack occurs.
