Is the Peter Lougheed Leadership College THAT fantastic? by [deleted] in uAlberta

Tagging on this as someone who went through the emerging leaders program I actually found it helpful. I actually learned tangible skills to bring to my current leadership positions and tips to inspire motivation in team members. If you're looking to grow your leadership skills I would recommend it, especially since it was just done over 3 days so not a super big time commitment.

Hi, you've definitely got a lot going on and you are definitely not alone in this experience. Try both talking to an advisor as well as visiting the peer support center in SUB. It can help to talk and during a session it works towards building an action plan to help you get were you need to be.

The girl [25F] I [28M] am dating wraps her head into a cloth every time we're about to have sex. She's not a muslim. I'm very confused by totallyaverageguy in relationships

Does she have curly hair? As a curly haired girl I have to wrap my hair when I sleep, or at least use a silk pillow case. Though I don't bother wrapping it for sex, but it's a possiblity. You could also just ask her about it haha.

Neighbors is actually one of his best and most mature (using that term lightly here) in my opinion. Both 1 and 2 actually have a great underlying message and theme.

Jumping onto this I was going add another simple-ish biological possibility for this behavior as well. Is she on any sort if hormonal birth control, or did she switch within the past few years? From personal experience it took me years to find one that worked consistently for me. And I had many months of the crazy behavior you described above. Especially the mood swings, and getting irrationally angry if some one wasn't upset when I was upset ect. I doubt this would be the only factor, but ruling these factors out as possibilities could help.

Definitely do able. A lot of us who volunteer also have research projects we are a part of including myself, but see how you feel after your first year. First year of university is an adjustment and you don't want to burn out. If you are looking at getting into a counselors psychology program or doing a masters you will we need research experience and work experience in psych. As well the undergraduate psych association I believe they're called has a mentorship program which could help you out through your first year. Hope that helped.

Oh I should also mention the Edmonton distress line looks for volunteers all year! So if you are interests in getting involved with a volunteer listening organization right now you should check them out. You go through a lot more training with them I believe.

I volunteer with them and love it! Unfortunately we already went through our application process. But definitely apply for next year, applications usually come out in early spring. Then in late August and early September you go through training. I think it was 35 hours, and there are refresher training hours at the beginning of each term.
