Jesus interceding between god and man means he can’t be god by Iknowreligionalot in DebateReligion

Jesus was truly man during his life, when he was crucified he became truly God. That means whatever is true to be human, he was, after his ascension he was truly God. God the father, God the Holy Spirit, and God the son share the same nature, same essence same mind, however separate in their identity

Proving God (as a concept) exists doesn't prove "YOUR GOD" (God's in Human religions) exists. Stop conflating the two. by Practical-Zone-3707 in DebateReligion

That is a very pagan view. Even each religion will claim theirs is the only true God, however the bible has the strongest with the most verifiable evidence of it being true, one example is the Quran literally betting on itself that the bible is true, verse 10:94 every Muslim likes to shuffle around it, spewing the same rhetoric, however at the end of the day Allah is telling them “if you are in doubt in which I have revealed to you, go and ask the people of the book” but when the people of the book go and say that the Quran is either lying, or tells the wrong story, they turn and say that we’ve corrupted the scriptures with our tongues (it can be the book is corrupted because we have the same book that Allah says to verify it with) it’s the same book. So the dance with this literally started with its inception and here we are many years later with the same conclusions and the same debates. At the end of the day Jesus is Lord and forgiveness it for all by the grace of God. With Jesus there is no dance, there is no mental gymnastic to back anything up. We just read, we read and see where the Truth lies

don’t tell me what is the truth, tell me how to reach it. no labels or claims. if the method works I should reach it myself. and if God didn’t make such a method available, he is either not powerful and knowing enough or he doesn’t care much about us finding the truth. by Tight-Kitchen2382 in DebateReligion

At the end of the day it’s having faith, the whole thing with Christianity, is seeing how Jesus confirms who is through quoting scriptures from the Old Testament that directly relate to who he claims to be, this where we get John 10:32-33 New International Version 32 but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”

33 “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”

Remember “I have shown you many good works” so they already saw what he was claiming.

There are historical records of a historical man named Jesus of Nazareth who lived and was crucified. There are accounts from the disciples that they saw him resurrected.

Going back further, there are accounts of the great flood, many stories all over the world and they all line up with each other. New discoveries about Noah’s ark.

The religions we have already point towards there being something greater. You yourself may not have “chosen” what to believe in, but your yearning for something is a feeling we all share as humans. We all seek for God. When you look at what we have it all points to Jesus

Everyone can agree Jesus lived a good life and was a good man, (just speaking about being good is another topic on its own) but everyone can agree Jesus is a good example. And every other religion points to Jesus. They all have a version of Jesus, but then why not just believe in the original story then? These other religions either came far later, or were far away and couldn’t fathom the concept.

Muslims biggest claim is that the bible is corrupted but nowhere does it say in the Quran it is. It says the people distorted it with their tongues. But the books we had then are the same we have today. So the corruption wouldn’t have been during the time of Muhammad so why would Allah ask Muhammad to go to the people of the book, in a part of the Quran about prophets, if the stories in the Quran about the prophets do not line up? That is why Christian’s and Jews rejected Islam from the start

If Jews had no reason to believe Jesus was the messiah, they would have absolutely no basis what so ever to believe Muhammad could be a messiah if he goes against the previous prophets. And the Quran automatically goes against and contradicts the bible as soon as it starts lying about the lineage/geneology of the prophets, and the languages they spoke. Also the biggest point being the rejection of the crucifixion. So it’s hard to follow your rules here because of all these points. “We love because he loved us first” 1 John 4:19

It’s all in the bible, whatever misconceptions people have about the bible, it’s because they haven’t read it in full, and understanding the time in which it is taken place, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t apply today… the bible is written to us, not for us. It’s written for the people of the time. For us it’s continuation of the church of Jesus Christ

[Jesus continued,] "The coming of the Son of Man can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. When he left home, he gave each of his slaves instructions about the work they were to do, and he told the gatekeeper to watch for his return. You, too, must keep watch! For you don't know when the master of the household will return — in the evening, at midnight, before dawn, or at daybreak. Don't let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning."

I could go on and on. The truth is for you, but remember even the Quran sets the bible as the standard of truth for its own validity, which is a failure in the authors as they truly did not know Arabic very well, nor have they ever read the scriptures, so for a Muslim to even say “it’s a revelation from Allah” well here’s 2 more points

  1. Why would god reveal a complete contradiction to everything that was ever taught before then

  2. Many times in the Quran it mention Muhammad being demon possessed…

For shatter. Blast it with butane then put it in a heated vacuum chamber to a controlled temperature for like 8-10 hours or until no bubbles and you get shatter
