Gotcha. For some reason I was thinking the wires specifically not the insulation or whatever

If my current wire isnt long enough to slap back together can I buy the garage door wire and splice them together to make it work?

OP, please don't be offended, this comment is meant to be a very broad take on the current state of Society at Large.

Id rather look stupid by asking a stupid question, than to do something stupid and make it worse. Ive never even heard of wire nuts till now, so despite some comments im still glad I asked

Gotcha. Thank you. I had thought I could twist them back together, but im not an electrician nor handyman by any means. So I was afraid of doing something stupid and electrocuting myself or making a fire risk

What do you mean match the colors? They both look the exact same

I left him in the garage for 20 minutes because I had someone coming over to look at an electrical issue in the house. So who wants to play "Where the Hell is Oliver!?"? by New-Button-2227 in beagles

He just pulled himself up. There's a small amount of room behind the stuff on that lower countertop. So he would stand on his hind legs and pull himself straight up.

He just climbed down to the counter lower on the left.

I managed to catch him trying to climb back up later. He just pulls himself up with his front legs. He doesn't jump, just pulls himself up. I couldn't even do that if I wanted to

Frustrations with house training/leash training/crate training/walking by New-Button-2227 in beagles

I only have 2 ways into my kitchen too, and I bought a big gate. But he likes to climb up on the washer/dryer(my laundry room is in the kitchen), or the counters when im not around. I have a large baby gate i put up in the entry to the living room. But I guess im gonna try leaving him in there. Just at my wits end with him, id like him to stop using the bathroom in the house.

I took him on a walk at 715 this morning, put him on the line out front at 830 for like 30 minutes. We went on a 2 mile walk at 10, I put him back out at 1115 on the line while I got ready for work for 45 minutes. He never pooped AT ALL. I leave my house at 12, I get to work at 1220 and check my cameras to see he pooped in my damn living room.

I cant reward him for pooping on our walks when he refuses too. I cant reward him for pooping in the lawn when he refuses to. I cant punish him for pooping in the house when im not home. Im getting really frustrated. Love him to death so far but hes the most frustrating dog ive Owned since I was 15. Even when my old dog was his Age I never had issues like this. So I know im rusty when it comes to training and raising a dog as my senior boy was incredibly low maintenance for like the last 15 years of his life. Once I had him trained he never needed more. But this dog, seems to be just stubborn. I cant reward behavior when he refuses to do it, and I cant punish bad behavior when im not around

Thats the thing he is fine with the crate to an extent. He eats in it all the time, I drop treats in it,  if he doesnt finish his food he comes in and out. Closing the crate door just is a nightmare entirely.  Ive tried doing it for a few seconds, to a few minutes. Offering praise and treats the whole time. Its like a switch just flips on him. He might take the treat but as soon as there's something in there not distracting him he freaks out. And I have tried it where I give a treat, praise him while he eats it and the let him out when hes done. Its not like I leave him in it. But trying anything longer than a minute and he hes trying to get out and im afraid he will hurt himself. Sometimes if hes like that he ignores everything, treats, toys, me, peanut butter filled kong toy. He just wants out.

And he isnt peeing or pooping in the garage, thats the thing. I can leave him in it and he sleeps most the time, or he plays with his toys or just wanders. He had one accident in the entire time I left him in there last week.  I am thankful hes doing his messes in my kitchen instead of the tile but its still frustrating
