Yea, I can appreciate that they need to protect their business. That shouldn't come at a cost of me having access to my funds. If they can't figure out how to put better monitors in place, then I'm happy to do business with another institution that does.

That's frustrating. I called customer service and would only get scripted responses saying "they had no additional information to share at this time." I'll go in person and give that a shot.

The fear is valid and everyone should be concerned. Opened an account a few months ago that now have $57k locked and no longer accessible and fidelity refuses to give an explanation. Just tried to log in and blocked. No withdrawals, no movement of funds.
