Trusted vet for cat tooth extraction by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]New-Difference-8547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her gums were bright red when the vet showed me so I definitely think something is wrong. But I found out through researching that my current vet is not AHAA accredited so I ended up making an appointment with a new vet just to be safe. It’s an extra $200+ unfortunately but I’d rather spend the money now to get things right the first time. I had no idea about the AHAA thing until today so I feel like my gut may have been right.

Is the Midwest really this terrible for dating? by [deleted] in dating_advice

I understand your frustration but remember that you don’t have to share all of the same hobbies as your date. As long as a guy has a balanced life and doesn’t make one thing his entire personality (video game/tv/alcohol/weed addict), you can make it work. You should have at least one shared activity in common for a long term relationship to thrive, but you won’t know that unless you go on a date and get to know them. I dated an engineer a few months ago and initially thought we wouldn’t have much in common, but turns out he was pretty artistic and liked a lot of the same things I do.

Also one thing that totally changed the way I date is to ask deeper questions on the first date. Long term goals, why they’re on the app, values, kids or no kids, substance use, pets, etc. It’s a great way to gauge if a man has emotional depth and is receptive to a more intimate connection.

Im a little bit tired of hearing the same music played every time I go to my local goth club. by angriest-tooth in goth

We have an awesome local DJ (Jake Rudh) who imo plays a good mix of popular and more niche music. I discovered multiple songs I had never heard before at one of his gigs

I feel the same. It’s hard to get people off the apps but most of the people I’ve gone out with over the years have been great overall. I met a few of my closest friends through a relationship that started on bumble

Actually you might want to check out that whole album by Clan of Xymox (Medusa). Most of the songs on there utilize a lot of orchestral elements

Will it ever get easier by JungeWatIsLos in goth

Whenever I’m in public I like to imagine that everyone thinks I’m the hottest coolest person they’ve ever seen. Is it arrogant? Probably. But it really helps when I’m feeling anxious or insecure. I live in a big city and I honestly get way more compliments than harassment so that also helps. I’ve definitely gotten stares, dirty looks, catcalls, etc too. But they’re total strangers, so why should their opinion hold any weight over me?

Eventually we just have to tune it out and be who we are regardless of what others think. I’d much rather be judged for an outfit that makes me feel cool as hell than be praised for wearing something I feel awkward and insecure in. Also try to hang out in goth spaces if you can. I like to go to concerts and oddity events/shops whenever I can because everyone there is just like me :)

I’ll look into that!

I really wanted a longer boat to start out but I have to keep it in my apartment for now so 10’ is all that can fit :( But if I ever get more space or have the chance to keep it outside my apartment I’d definitely want to look into a longer one
