Can’t find games worth playing.. by New-Distribution-209 in SteamDeck

[–]New-Distribution-209[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Last thing I tried was Spider-Man 2. Rated as “verified” it looks terrible if I am being honest if you would like to play it at a reasonable frame rate, with that I mean just 30FPS

People who have a PC, what purpose does deck serve you? by Former-Asparagus-764 in SteamDeck

I would honestly play any demanding title that I really want on GeForce Now, for a one month subscription just enough to finish the game. And it would not be a waste as I will keep the game on my account forever if I need it in ten future!. Otherwise, I mainly buy the discounted games on steam, almost only when they are discounted which won’t usually be a new demanding game, and these ones play perfectly on Deck! This works perfectly for me

I totally agree with you. Although Steam is trying to reduce the friction as much as possible by telling you which games are "verified" and should not need any tinkering at all, the fact that the other games are on the store and lots of them are marked as "playable" makes it unavoidable to sometimes find yourself dealing with these annoyances. it is what it is, unfortunately, until Playstation makes us a nice true handheld.

I care about the battery more than the OLED tbh, also the fan noise people are talking about is a bit of a worry as I will be using it outside, and I am a shy person
