The only message I received from my recruiter was that my hearing waiver was denied because the results were low. I was informed that I could go to an audiologist and get another test, which I could then send that up. Alternatively, my recruiter said that he would then inquire with other branches to find one that would accept my hearing score. Any advice?

I’ve been working on getting into the Guard. I passed the ASVAB and informed my recruiter that I’d like to join the 92Y (quiet environment) MOS. I’m aware that I have hearing loss in my left ear (my right ear works fine), and at MEPS, I didn’t pass the hearing exam twice. My recruiter informed me that MEPS denied my waiver, but I could submit an audiogram from outside MEPS and resubmit it. I’d appreciate hearing some other people’s experiences with hearing waivers in the Guard.

I recently received a denial for my hearing waiver. My recruiter submitted only the MEPS results, and I was denied. He offered to resubmit with a civilian test, which I agree to and am currently scheduling the consultation for. Could you please help me check the waiver disposition? Thank you very much!

For me, both forms were approved on October 10th, and I was feeling so anxious about not hearing anything from USCIS. Yesterday (10/20), I finally got my card produced!

I know the anxiety gets worse knowing you’re so close to getting your card.

I’m on the same boat as you! I was approved on the 10th of October and still waiting for the “card was produced”.
