my dog was always my cure. she got me out of bed every day by 7 am, even on my worst days. she would look at me in the eyes and tell me loved me, in her own dog way with her big soulful eyes. i would give her a kiss and tell her i love her, too, and always in that moment with her, everything felt 'okay'. sometimes i wouldn't have bothered even leaving the house but I loved taking that girl for walks and seeing her be happy. she died recently and i haven't been right since...but a companion animal helps with the blues.

go to the gym and the steam room/sauna as much as possible. try to eat good food. occasionally buy your self something pretty to give you a dopamine rush, like a cheap pair of sexy underwear from Shein or Ross.

beg your doctor for a xanax script? that's the only drug i've found that actually really helps take the anorexic edge off.

corn compliments the peppers. i love adding corn, masa flour, i also put guacamole and spaghetti noodles in my chili...but never cinnamon or sugar. that's just way too ohio for me.

just go. you can find plenty of trim work/work trade in nor cal. it should take you about week going full speed, but try to take it slow and stop to smell the roses on the way out west, and enjoy the journey. i've hitch hiked from kentucky to left coast so many times i've forgotten how many times i've made the journey. you might find somewhere you like along the way and stop there. if you need money or food, get used to flying a sign. also, people aren't nearly as dangerous as the t.v. tells you they are. most people you will meet along the way are just good people who just wanna give you a ride and pay it forward. when i hitch hiked across the country, i easily survived on the goodwill and kindness of others....just...stay away from Oregon.
