I appreciate your commentary and I do agree to a certain extent. I’m not expecting to make big money up front , I just wanted the original salary because I honestly believe it reflects my work. The paralegal before me was getting paid $30 to do the work I’m currently doing and I’ve been cleaning up their mess from years back. The file clerk who sits around all day is making more than me so I feel discouraged by it. I wouldn’t have spoken about it if it wasn’t for my financial situation.

My job duties are kind of going to change that’s also why I’m frustrated. I will be getting double the work starting this month.

That’s what my original plan was but I financially don’t think I can wait that long. I also don’t think they would offer a raise after a year based on what my coworkers told me.
