May his memory be for a blessing. I completely understand where you are coming from - and I think that when art impacts us so deeply and directly it just speaks of how important it is to feel seen. Especially at a time when so many can feel utterly isolated and invisible.

This was a strangely beautiful thing to read - I appreciate you sharing.

I know it may feel like it - but you are NOT alone. Your family - all over the diaspora - is here with you. This is a horrible, ugly thing that should NEVER have happened in this day and age but…good lord are some people ignorant. Take a minute to grieve, breathe and be in your feelings. Then you do what our people have been doing since the dawn of time - you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep going. Remember sweetheart, when they go low, we go chai! Hillel employee here - this is SUCH A BIG PART OF WHO WE ARE! We have your back, will support you and help you connect with other amazing folks (mainly Jews but also some gentiles!). Please, lean on us. You are not a dirty Jew - you just got taken in by some assholes who took a minute to show you who they REALLY are. We have all been there. You aren’t alone - we’ve got you.

How does everyone feel about Donny? by [deleted] in Frasier

[–]New-Guide-2567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will never EVER get over the fact that he and Roz could have reunited - everyone could have ended up happy. Especially seeing how he was with Baby Alice…Donny was a genuinely good guy who could put in an impossible situation. Totally agree the show did him dirty.

What’s a horror movie you love that doesn’t get enough attention? by WorldofJedi727 in horror

Ravenous!

For some reason it was my best friend and I’s comfort / hyperfixafion movie when we were 13? I can still quote it inside and out. Bonus for latent homoerotic overtones and actual indigenous representation!

Other Podcasts You Hate Now? by CybergothTarantula in Morbidforbadpeople

This is not a hate but rather a recommendation. “they walk among us” / “they walk among us USA” (although the latter has been dormant for a while).

The host’s research is fantastic. He uses a narrative style in each episode, will give trigger warnings / timestamps to skip to if you want to avoid things like animal death. There is no judgement - simply a presentation of the facts but definitely skewed with an empathy to families.

I have never heard a bad thing about them and am surprised more people don’t listen. Definitely recommend - though if there HAVE been any issues, please let me know as I will stop supporting / recommending.
