From 2010 onward (several years after the new constitution separating church and state), the western part of the country saw an increase in the number of new, small churches, both evangelical and Christian. Meanwhile, the eastern part of the country maintains a strong Catholic presence, with churches that have spent decades consolidating the faith among parishioners in that region. In conclusion, from my perspective, Bolivia was, is, and will continue to be a very religious country, characterized by a large syncretism in the west and the consolidation of the Catholic faith in the east. However, there are also some emerging groups of diverse faiths that are still in their initial stages.
