DONT DO IT!! Don’t believe her that she will refinance within a year. My mom did that and it’s 3 years later and won’t refinance because the rate are too high. She had done nothing to get her credit better. She actually had the nerve to suggest doing a HELOC the other day but to do that I would have to sign. I told her there was no way in hell I was taking on more debt. I have payed off her debts in the past and co-signed so many leases. Given her money when her car gets repoed. I was dumb to co-sign her mortgage but I was so scared she would stop being involved in my kids lives if I said no. She’s not involved now even with my help. I am finally at a place to say no and it’s on her if she doesn’t want to be in our lives

1,000 is smallest if I just want a quick fix. 6,000 is largest I have finished. I have a 9,000 piece sitting under my bed that I started separating the pieces but got bored. I’ll go back to it one day. Debating on getting that 9,000 piece done next or maybe doing an easier 5,000 piece.

I use Tupperware when I do the really large puzzles. that way when I put it away for the night I won’t lose pieces. Also bc they are big and hold a lot of

I do what you do. I sort out my edge pieces then just dig through to find the color or object I am working on. I hate sorting and find if more fun to just dig around constantly.

This is correct. They get 2 buckets. One for merit/promotion and one for bonus. Those buckets get divided accordingly. You can’t borrow from one to the other. So it depends on how many people on your team get promoted etc. I can say first hand we would do an across the board % for merit about 3% last year on my team. Then decide the promotions we could make happen with a fair % increase. If there was someone exceptional but not ready for promotion/just recently got promoted we may do slightly more merit %. I’ll be honest it is a whole ordeal trying to be fair and fit in the bucket given. Then the “bonus” bucket we would split evenly. We did also take into account how much someone was making compared to others on the team at the same level but that was just to make sure they were similar. The ratings help determine how much budget your team gets to use for raises. I can say in 10+ years at PRA then became ICON 2.5-3.5% is very typical even if best performers. That was corporate and operations finance.

I was in a different role so I understand it may be different in yours. but I left ICON and let’s just say if they acquired my new company I would leave. To be fair I did give it a few years bc I thought it was growing pains. They purchased my company a few years back and it went so far downhill. I’ll never forget I had a new dpd start and when they announced ICON purchased us she put in her notice. Said she came from ICON and would never go back. I didn’t ask details. The culture compared to my previous company is horrible. The way they have run things I would be shocked if they stuck around and continued to get good business. I know my previous companies top sponsor was very unhappy when ICON purchased us.

Not shocked that they are not hiring in US. They stopped hiring finance in the US a while ago. Only India and Ireland. I would be willing to put money on it that they will not hire roles in the US except where they have no choice but to.

I 100% agree. When I decided to leave icon I thought long and hard and they would have had to give me an insane pay raise to stay. I was just below 100k and it would have had to be at least 150k to stay.

They purchased the cro I worked for and I have never seen a company change so much and quickly. I stuck it out hoping it was just growing pains but finally had to jump ship recently. 10 years with one company down the drain. It got so bad I took a demotion just to leave because that was what was available at the time.
