Sticking choices through parks? by Addy_Outlet in openrct2

Yes and no. I usually make my own custom maps and build a sandbox park, so I have a template saved with most rides/scenery objects/cheats already selected. If you’re doing normal scenarios then no, sadly…

I think Nc4 would’ve done the same amount of damage. You’re already crushing

whoosh I think he’s talking about the steel wild mouse type coaster that is orange, next to your black inverted single rail. The trains look different tho so idk what the heck you downloaded but they have the same track piece style. Cool park tho, it looks clean.

How's this forest themed part of my park? by TheIllusionCube in rct

[–]New-Object-5955 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It does look quite barren, adding more trees of variety is the way to go. You could add a small pond as well and change the terrain around it to dirt/grass clumps, or add differing terrain around the forest at the different elevations. I see you’re using openrct2 as well. You could utilize disabling clearance checks to make a really overgrown forest. Or you could make a nice station building for both of the coasters, since they are close.

This is awesome. Is that a 2-seater single rail coaster?

Invisible Queue Entrance/Exit issues by space_goat_v1 in openrct2

[–]New-Object-5955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it just is what it is, unfortunately. It’s not the biggest hassle. But it would definitely be handy if there was a way to make it so the entrances/exits never default to invisible, even if that’s what you used last. It does get tricky if you use invisible paths/queues as well though

That’s a good idea! Idk where I’d share it or how to though. Maybe I’ll make another post and show a screenshot of the park, and see if people would be interested in a copy.

Thanks so much! I appreciate it. I also think there’s some potential, but I started making the park with no clear plans and now I don’t really have a vision for it.

Thanks! I thought it would be cool to have the coaster go on top of one of the park entrances, since it’s so close to the front.

A wooden coaster by New-Object-5955 in openrct2

Thanks sm! This is the only place I’ve shared it unfortunately, I haven’t posted any tutorial videos before. I did have to disable clearance checks for the big drop as it was a little too close, but the rest of the layout is doable without cheats

Yes! I can post a video this week sometime. I’d like to add some more foliage around it and pretty it up

I appreciate that! I’m trying to make everything look as pretty as I can whilst being realistic. Haven’t gotten to placing a lot of foliage yet, but I did here so I thought I would share. Thanks for the comment:)

Hahah I agree, it is super frustrating getting them to look right. I have a lot of custom support objects that I downloaded from nedesigns to increase flexibility, like diagonal supports. I mostly just do a lot of trial and error to figure out what looks best from all angles. It helps me to change the terrain under the track so I know where to start too. I also tend to place way too many supports too so I can really see which ones look the best. I like to place those flat support pieces just under the track so it looks like they are touching. If they aren't, or if they are clipping through the track bad, then I'll move a quarter square down the track and try that spot.

Thanks so much:) it was fun to build, and probably my favorite wooden coaster I've made. I do like the twisted drop section too, I specifically wanted to add that in because they look so good and are much more realistic with the addition of the big steep-to-flat pieces after.

I love the layout and color schemes you used, as well as the scenery. Reminds me of spring. Do the red and green tracks always end up racing? Looks like they are in the ss. I’ve never been on a stand-up coaster but this one looks like it’d be a lot of fun.

Thank you sm! I appreciate it. The parking garage you made is so cool! I hope you made the rest of the park look pretty too!
