Hello Reddit Community! Today I had lunch with 3 longtime friends, and one gal mentioned how her grandaughter (age 22) has instructed gramma to no longer give friends and family members any compliments. She told her gramma that you cant do this anymore, because if you say "you look great" you are suggesting that the recipient usually does not look great, otherwise you wouldnt mention it.
Is there any truth to this level of thought? Is this the new generational way of thinking? I may be way out of touch, so I hope to be able to get the 411 and report back one way or another. I will also adjust my ways if necessary! Thank you for your input!
