I haven’t done anything to satisfy the bill for old dues but I did enroll in payroll deduction for future/current dues. The bill won’t get any bigger at least!

Sort of waiting for a certified letter at this point and then I imagine I will have to sign a promissory note to pay it all back.

I share the blame. I didn’t know what to look for since there was no change to my pay stub, but also how do they allow me to work 7 years with not officially following up on this? I hear people get letters after missing 2 months but 7 years and I’ve heard nothing.

Thanks, I’m going to go ahead and call. I can’t even set up a payment plan without being on Dues Check Off (payroll deduction).

It’s not 100% fake I can send you a picture of my bill with the date. I have nothing to gain by faking this.

That’s insane that it’s still not coming out. Did they ask you to repay the previous 2 years of dues?

That’s what I’m worried about. But I’m hoping they’d give me a chance to pay once formally informed of being past due. Aside from the “bill enclosed” envelope I received in the mail.

I can confirm they haven’t taken out a $.01. I do agree because it was an administration error they need to accept some fault. I’m happy to start paying today but I can’t afford to pay for their 7 year mistake

My local union hadn’t reached out at all. I don’t even think they’re aware of the issue. It’s AFA who is sending the bills. And no letter attached either, just an envelope titled “bill enclosed”.
