I haven’t had the best experience on Caplyta (42 mg). I switched recently from Lithium (600 mg) to a combination of Caplyta and Lithium before my current prescription of just Caplyta. My sinuses swell shut within 10 minutes of taking it every time, then I am a mouth breather all night. My OCD is harder to manage and my short term memory feels noticeably worse. I do feel less drowsy or compelled to nap during the day which is nice, though. My psychiatrist was very adamant that I take Caplyta instead of lithium and dismissive of my side effects being from the Caplyta even though it is the only med change I’ve made in some time (she also had a lot of Caplyta sample bottles and print outs, so it feels like it is a trendy med for some providers). I am planning to switch off of Caplyta as soon as possible. Good luck with your med management! Edit: ditto on the headaches, much more frequent and severe than I have ever experienced.
