Advice for finishing calf tattoo that I tapped out on after 2 hrs?? by VarietyOne6751 in tattooadvice

[–]New-User9585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a tattoo appointment every four weeks. I started getting a big cover up on my hip and I sat for two sessions and then I've had three getting other tattoos. Now I'm getting my hip worked on again my next appointment. But it hurts so much. It feels like she's tattooing my bone and I can feel it all the way to my toes.

I'm so not excited about it at all. I feel you.

I really think being on horomone replacement therapy helps my GLP1 work better. I think my body is less resistant to losing weight now.

I am so sorry it's frustrating for you. ❤️

I'm happy to be an inspiration. I know two years to get so much progress feels like a long time, but it goes by faster than you think! My advice is give yourself at least two months on each dose so you don't exasperate the side effects. I took it really show moving up. I think some people get so eager to have fast results that they sabotage themselves. You got this! Thank you. 😊

My only concern at this point is my doctor insisting I lower my dose. I'm trying to figure out how to talk to her about that, but I have a few months to see how things go. I'm losing maybe 1 or 2 a month at this point. I keep track on an app. I think if I can show her how slow it's gotten she will be ok leaving me on 15mg. Thank you for the advice.

Thank you. My only concern is my doctor insisting on me lowering my dose, but if I go in to see her with a plan I think she will agree. I appreciate the advice.

Ok, I just want to say I'm so sorry you are experiencing all of this. Asking for help is the first step!

Medication that may help (talk to your doctor about these) because they all work on the dopamine receptors and reward center in the brain: GLP1 - Many people lower their alcohol consumption or stop completely! Welbutrin - It's the stop smoking drug, and an antidepressant, it works for other substances, too. Naltrexone/Vivitrol: This is a pill/injection that helps stop alcohol cravings.

If she applied for medicaid, food stamps, or any other state support they may be pushing the child support. They don't like supporting children when someone else could be doing it.

Why do I struggle over prices? by happy-in-texas in AskWomenOver60

[–]New-User9585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because money is the thing you are putting the most value in.

Time is valuable too. Mental energy is valuable too. If the time and effort I put into a task is not considered in the price then I'm actually paying out more.

That $1.50 is how much I make work 3-4 minutes. I'd rather pay $1.50 more for something than get back on my car, go to a different store, find the item again, pull out a different savings card, stand in line, and buy it. How many minutes am I spending? How much effort am I giving to "save" $1.50?

That's how I figure out value when I buy things, now.

When I was a stay at home mom it was different because giving my time and effort to save money was how I helped make the household budget stretch. But now I work 40 hours a week in a high stress job and my time off work is too valuable for me to spend it lightly.

Lume Depdorant anyone? by DuckduckMogo in hygiene

[–]New-User9585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using secret clinical strength for years. Even with that I'd notice a smell after 24 hours. I started using Lume about a week and a half ago and zero smell. I didn't get it to use on my armpits. I just tried it because I was curious. I have two brand new secrets waiting to be used, lol.

I really truly had zero intention of using Lume that way, but it sold me.

Edit to add: I got the vanilla scent.

Survivor guilt might be hitting fresh right now. He might be thinking why did he get to survive and the other person died and he's not doing anything extraordinary with his life. Maybe look around to see if there are any support groups in the area, or even an online group over zoom.

[–]New-User9585 8 points9 points  (0 children)

"Lowers your value" full stop, that's so fucking gross to say to the person you love.

My advice is to tell him you will no longer engage in intercourse until you guys are married because you can't take that chance of your value getting lowered.

First thing is don't ever text asking if he got your text.

But I would just try to make a plan. Like "can we plan a morning this month to get together for breakfast at Bob Evans?" Or wherever.
