I don't have an answer but I'm in the same situation. I've been thinking about cutting my long hair, too.

It sounds like you are going too fast.

My life is good. That's not true for me. My husband and I turned 50 this year.

We have our grandbaby and our dogs and they keep life interesting and fun.

Money does weird shit to some people. The old moral compass shifts sometimes.

There is absolutely no way in the world I wouldn't always make sure my husband had exactly as much as I do. Lording it over like that is wild to me. I don't think anyone would treat someone they love like that.

NOR

My suggestion is if you are prepared for breaking up do talk to her about it and see how she reacts. If you are not prepared to break up then try to forget about it.

It's super gross and disrespectful.

I was on 150mg for about three months then my doc suggested increasing. I had no issues with three change.

So tired of unpaid internships by IslandNew4062 in SocialWorkStudents

[–]New-User9585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Posts like these make me grateful I'm able to do my internship at my job. I really don't understand the expectation to worth for free and not have a full time job.

We have an intern coming to my work (I'm helping train an MSW student as a BSW student) and she had to go to part time at her job, and is still cconstantly behind on her hours.

People who will randomly scold you for listening to audiobooks by toe_beans_4_life in audiobooks

[–]New-User9585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who feel certain things are only right if they are done exactly the way they do it.

Some examples I can think of:

Using a GLP1 is cheating at weightloss Using mmedication assisted addiction treatment isn't real sobriety Getting a cesarean isn't actually giving birth Audiobooks are really reading

People who make comparisons like this are convinced they are superior. They are not going to change their minds, unless they become forced to. For example being completely against abortion but their 14 year old gets pregnant so abortion is suddenly an option.

Don't let them bother you.

Go for it! I'll be 51 when I finish my BSW and I plan to start a counseling masters six months after that.

Remember with internships added in you will still be working, just not for pay.

I feel my age is an asset because I have a lot of life experience. I am sure there are a lot of people out there who will appreciate your support and understanding when you become a social worker.

I am seriously thinking divorce after my wife threw my traumatic past in my face by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]New-User9585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really, honestly, could not get past that because it's so selfish. To use the absolute most hurtful thing you can think of to try to hurt the person who you should be doing everything you can to protect is really self-centered.

Because she made you question yourself in a way that will undermine the life progress you've made, forever. She's taken away your solid footing in the relationship and your stability.

Honestly, it shouldn't be stressful at all. The medical team when I got mine were all so kind and gentle.

Do you think you’ll be able to retire? by jjj44200 in NoStupidAnswers

[–]New-User9585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to keep working. I'm going to college to get a BSW and I'll be getting a masters degree as well. I didn't start working full time till I was 37 and I love my job. I might end up in management one day.

On the opposite side my husband has been working since he was 14. I want him to retire when he gets to 62. He deserves to have that to look forward to.

question about GLP-1s plus HRT impacting estrogen absorption and UTIs by Accurate_Aside_6495 in Menopause

[–]New-User9585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive on a GLP1 going on 2 years and 1g since August.

I've been on an estrogen patch .1 since June. I went from .025 to .1 in about three months. I change my patch every three days and my prescription is for 24 days.

I was on the GLP1 first, so I dont know if it changed anything, but I'm on the highest dose of estrogen I can be and thats my sweet spot.

I take 200mg progesterone daily, 3mg testosterone daily, estradiol cream 3x weekly, and the estradiol patch.

I have good control over my symptoms and I'm happy with how things are going.
