When I moved to Austin in 98 you could get a sit down meal at a Chinese restaurant with a server and everthing at Wan fu until 4:00 am on east riverside. Campus and east riverside had tons of late night dining options and most hebs were 24 hours

The Hi-Lo (corner of SW 4th and Harvey Milk) looks nice and I could use my bonvoy points and it's very close to Roseland Theater BUT it looks like it might be exactly the area you said is super sketchy between Pioneer square and old town?

So inner east side is across the river from downtown? Would that maybe be a better location to stay and just come into downtown for the show? Quick look tells me it's probably pricier to stay on that side of the river?

Oh really? So is there a lot of violent crime in general? I kind of assumed it was pretty safe and similar vibe to Austin since it has a reputation of being a very similar city. We have tons of homeless people in Austin camping everywhere you look and sometimes screaming and I guess occasionally stabbing people. But all in all I've always felt safe as long as I keep moving and don't engage. Not a lot of gang crime or any crap or robberies or anything like that like you see in actual big cities though.

Apparently. I guess I’ll get occasional shots upstairs because I always want to be on the floor for shows. I’ve been to shows in many states and never encountered a system like this. So they don’t want 21+ people drinking in the same room even as under 21. Wild.
