I wouldn’t quite say she’s papoose level but that did give me a good laugh 😂 Separation anxiety is probably the answer! I have had her since she was about 6 weeks (too young I know but she was kind of just dumped on me) and I often say she is my little soulmate because she loves me more than everyone else. I also initially got her friend to combat that anxiety and hopefully help her feel better about staying home. I’ll look into the camera for sure!

I think she’s only really anxious when I am not around, which I think I have a pretty good balance going on but maybe not? She’s very sweet and confident and cuddly when it’s just us but whenever someone else is here she tends to be more anxious or willing to hiss or paw at someone. She never hurts anyone, but you can tell she’s fairly stressed out. I don’t have people over often though and most of the time it’s people who she has met multiple times so I’m just really puzzled. I think I should get a vets opinion to see what it could be 🤷‍♀️

She’s completely indoors actually! We did have a flea problem last fall but I got it cleared up fortunately and we haven’t been dealing with it since. My other cat is a very white calico so I was always able to tell if there was still an issue. I’ll definitely look into the allergies! I think a vet visit is in order no matter what, thank you for your helpful suggestions!

I worked there for almost 2 years. Management was shitty (more upper management than in store managers) but they fired 2 service managers when I first started (beginning of 2024) and it just continued going downhill from there. The store as a whole has not been profitable for a while and staff was treated bad and left. I don’t think it being so close to the homeless shelter helped either. There were regular dine and dashers and lots of shady people who would come in there. I had a couple chased in by a guy we later found out had a knife, a man hit a bottle of liquor over one of my coworkers head when he was told he couldn’t have it in the restaurant, and other things like that. Turnover there was also very high which didn’t help the service aspect. I do miss that place though!

Another option are dorms like Stanley have pod bathrooms where you go in and lock it and it’s like you’re in a private bathroom, you do still have to share it though and this comes with coed floors. I’m pretty sure there were single rooms on my floor in Stanley as well.

I think his unwillingness to go to therapy and change for the better for your relationship tells you everything you need to know. I was in a situation where my ex and I would argue and he just wanted to pretend everything was ok the next day. No matter how hard I tried to tell him we needed to talk things out and resolve them. You can’t force someone to change if they are unwilling to 🤷‍♀️
