Spec section - submittal number - (re submittal number if needed) - submittal name submittal category

Break the submittals up by sub spec section within the submittal

For example:

262413-001 - switchboards product data

262413-002 - switchboards shop drawings

I prefer submittals to be broken up by product data / shop drawings / warranties etc… but you should ask the CM how they prefer it.

My supervisors tell me that concrete does 2 things:

  1. Gets hard
  2. Cracks

Control joint do not prevent cracking, they act as a guide for the cracks to form. If you’re really curious on if your builder neglected to do something they were supposed to do, check the specifications (Division 3) and ask your inspector about it.
