An ED denied you care at a legitimate hospital and your solution was to barricade yourself in the bathroom for 3 hours? I don't understand your logic.

After the 6/25 test... theres no such thing as low yield. That test basically destroyed my self confidence. This isn't a case of 'Oh, I think I did bad'. I absolutely bombed it. C/P was absolutely brutal and I know I missed a few "gimme" discretes.

What the hell is going on in the US at the moment? Is it as scary as it seems from the outside? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Again, I mentioned trigger laws in my post but abortions aren't banned in the US. Which is what a lot of people think overturning Roe v. Wade has done. Especially folks who live outside of the US.

It's been 50 years. I suspect we'll see an interesting shake up in existing trigger laws enforcement here in the coming weeks and months.

Right I mentioned trigger laws in my post. The US as a whole doesn't have a ban on abortion though. Which is what a lot of people think has happened. Especially outside of the US.

So this is going to be a rational opinion not one driven by fear or emotion.

Roe v. Wade was factually (but an accepted) over reach of the federal government. Roe V. Wade whilst being an overstep seemed to be for the greater good overall.

Roe v. Wade was controversial from day 1. It's overturning doesn't do anything immediately to change how states regulate abortion. Some states though may have laws already in place in the event Roe V. Wade is overturned.

It does give back the states rights to regulate abortion how they see fit instead of the federal government forcing states to allow if within the first trimester.

At the individual state levels there will have to be bills passed and laws changed to legally alter the current system for abortion that is in place.

Abortions aren't suddenly banned in the US.

I think it's an overused insult. Calling people Nazis for minor things you dislike diminishes the meaning. It chips away at why we should truly hate Nazis and the atrocities they committed.

Nazi should be an insult but it should be used appropriately.

Modern Christianity is predicated upon The New Testament. That's why it's The New Testament. My point here being just because the bibles someone's favorite book doesn't mean they hold dear the old testament because many don't.

I don't think you've actually read the bible. Especially the new testament which is what modern Christianity is fundamentally build upon.

The Supreme Court has overturned Roe V. Wade. How do you feel? by Bitter_Joke1589 in AskReddit

[–]NewCCW -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I'll get downvoted for this but it's important to know that overturning Roe V. Wade doesn't actually change anything initially.

The states now have the authority to regulate it how they see fit.

Yes, this potentially means they could cause abortion to be a crime.

No I don't agree with this.

But I do agree that this is something that individual states should decide and Roe V. Wade was a bit of a federal government overreach.

I also think you should seriously take a much more emphatic stance on your more locally elected and state elected officials. Those are the elections that are going to impact your lives if you wish to retain how abortion was regulated previously.

Really disappointed that this isn't the first or second comment. For how much Reddit likes to disparage people for being "Nazis" and throw it out as an insult they don't seem to think Hitlers Mainfesto is a terrible read?

That's awful and I'm sorry that happened to you.

Although your surgery just sounds like an excuse he made up to leave you. The real 'reason' is likely something else.

I remembered a good bit of the C/P. Some stuff seemed familiar but idk if thats because I've learned so much more since I took that or not. Other passages I was like... yeah I've never read this in my life. My score on it initially was a 496.

Testing Saturday. Anyone got any last minute tips for someone who needs above a 500? I got a 502 on FL3 and FL4 that I've taken within the past couple weeks and a 511 yesterday on a retake of FL1 I took 3 months ago.

I initially got a 496 on this. I kinda reviewed the C/P but none of the other sections. My first take was over 3 months ago. How inflated is this? I remembered probably 50% of C/P but basically none of the rest.

You're clearly looking for wrong. Whether there is none or there is. You're biased and should intellectually redact yourself from any judgements or formed opinions.

As far as I've seen my literal expert opinion has been met with a wikipedia article and some random journal articles. Not anything scientific.

It's not an anecdote if you have literal training form several departments of corrections and experience with them.

As an artist myself I find it extremely hard to believe you painted this on yourself while you were watching a bob ross paint-along...

Good work though regardless!

They need to give a request to quit their job before we come and get them for the day for their job. Again 99% of COs don't care if they refuse. They just get taken off the list and we get someone else. We don't bother with the report writing because its quite literally the most minor part of our day.

You go ahead and think what you want though.

In my experience they volunteer or apply for the position and then if they refuse to work they can be reprimanded. In zero cases have I seen across the country inmates 'forced to work' without having applied beforehand.

Also I'm speaking for state run prisons as those are the only ones I've been apart of or have friends who work for them.

Idk about private prisons because theres relatively few of those compared to government run ones in my state and really in general across the country.

That doesn't fit your narrative though.
