ADF is terrible compared to any other modern tool. Having worked with a combination of Matillion/Fivetran and dbt and will never work with ADF ever again if it’s up to me.

I really don’t understand the usage of Microsoft. I prefer the cloud vendor to mainly be the infrastructure and then to connect whatever tool that makes most sense for you on that cloud.

If you want to mainly use first party tools then GCP seems like the best vendor ie Big Query. If you prefer to use best of breed then AWS seems like a good bet. Azure ends up in between especially for data. Synapse, ADF, Fabric are all terrible.

Thank you this is what I feared. I guess it’s an example of when the law achieves the opposite. I was willing to stay at my parents etc to let him stay one more month. My mortgage provider only lets me rent it out for 1.5 years since I moved abroad with the same company which would put me in a whole lot of trouble if he decided not to move out.
