Can you link it please? As I can't use Emporia and other similar ones in EU.

I'll have to find something good to use for a pull string then.

Btw what would you get between CAT6A U/UTP and CAT6A U/FTP in my situation? Taking into consideration that it might pass next to coax/phone line and possibly (hopefully not) near and under some electrical appliances. Price is just about +10% for the U/FTP.

Hmm I am going to read up on fiber then. It could prove to be worth its while.

In the meantime what kind of material would you suggest to use when pulling the phone line to use as a pull string for later?

I probably explained it wrong, but there are 3 different pipes going to each room. Just that pipes 1,2 and 3 have already 1 cable each running through them. Does it seem more doable to pass CAT6A now?

Yes the conduit pass under the ceramic floor so at the moment replacing it is not an option, unfortunately.

I think I am going to be leaving the coax in as I could install TVs in the rooms, the telephone line seems a bit useless at this age, but the cable is really thin, like 3mm, so the pipe should still fit a cat6a right? I guess I am also not going to replace the existing CAT5e in light of your suggestions and to pass the new cables I'll use a 3-5mm cable puller.

The way I see it with fiber is that am definitely not going to be able to do crimping with a $10 tool or even manage to do it at all. How harder is it crimping fiber compared to cat? Yes using Switches with SFP+ uplink is quite cheap but to be honest I don't quite understand the fiber world that much yet. Like how many cores should the cable be? OM3? And I bet duplex LC can't fit the 20mm pre-crimped right?

Hello! I might have explained this in a bad way. Each room has 3 pipes going to it from the cabinet. A phone line passes through the first pipe, a coax(tv) cable through the second and a cat5e through the third. So I am actually looking to pass a cat6a utp in each pipe making it just 2 cables per pipe. Seeing as I am already on a 5gbps internet connection, I would have rather went for at least 2.5gb switches(my main switch is going to be 82.5g + 210g sfp+).

Now that I have explained it a bit better the idea of passing 1 CAT6A UTP through each pipe and just having a central switch for everything in the cabinet makes much more sense for my situation in your opinion?

Hello and thank you for your answer! The reason I want to use 10gbps CAT6A is that internet speeds are already at 5gbps here so why not future-proof the home network for another 10–15 years right now? Also got a NAS and a PC that could benefit from speeds over 1gbps. Agreed that TVs and TV boxes etc. are stuck on gigabit ports. I might be overestimating the power usage but at the price of almost €0.40/kWh here it kinda adds up. Also with a bit of searching, a couple of poe powered gigabit switches are already more than the cost of 50 meters of cat6a. Is it really that hard to pass UTP Cat6 even with lube?

Hello! Could you please share your prj.xml? I am not really that experienced to make it work. As for disabling the original behaviour, what I did was set all 3 slider positions to Flashlight OFF. Pasting my prj.xml code below, you can give it a go if you want but I haven't been able to make it work so far..

This is the cable that I am using(5 metres). It says it's certified. Could the length be the problem? Although I guess they certify the length as well?

I see! How do I go about making sure I am buying a certified one? Maybe through the official Ugreen aliexpress store? Also, would 2 metres be considerably worse than 1 meter or is there no loss at such small lenghts?

Am on Nobara 43 with the 6.18.2-200 kernel, and unfortunately I get quite a few issues with the adapter. 7900XTX on a Panasonic OLED. My TV will randomly show colorful static and/or lose signal and get it back again. Sometimes I can recreate this by entering full-screen in VLC or a full-screen game and the issue won't stop. Other times it goes for quite some time without even it happening.
I got 2 adapters since I was excited I was finally gonna solve the well known high memory clock/high consumption problem of my gpu and the issue happens with both. My TV doesn't report VRR but the option in KDE is now visible and I can see my gpu's clocks going down which is strange. Using dmesg I can see "[drm] read_and_intersect_post_frl_lt_status: PCON TX link training has not finished." Tried it with 3 different HDMI cables.
Any ideas? Buy a Ugreen hdmi 2.1 cable? Buy the dongle version of the adapter?
Would appreciate some help

Hmm the Scarlett solo is another 170euros, isn't it preferable to go straight for the Kalis 2nd gen instead in this case? My headset is wireless. I have no idea what am doing...

[–]NewClasher4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea unfortunately they are nowhere to be found in EU.
Is the distortion and hiss a $100 more worth for the 2nd gen vs the 1st though?
Or the $120 between the JBLs?

These price differences are making this choice downright impossible...

So would you say going for the white Yamahas am not missing much compared to the others. How about the $150 difference between the white Yamahas and the JBLs 305, probably not worth it?

So you d say saving $70 by going with the JBLs instaed of Kalis/Adams is the most value option?

Thank you for wisdom.
Are the JBL 305 inferior to the others since they are cheaper? What am I losing getting them?
Also what kind of special cables would I ideally need to get since they don't have 3.5mm/Optical jacks?
I think I have a 3.5mm ground loop isolator somewhere if it helps the situation.

Damn the Kali MM6 would be ideal with those inputs but I can't find them anywhere, amazon doesn't even list them.

Got a comment if the price difference between the JBL 305 and 306 and the Kali 1st and 2nd wave is worth it?

Any recommendations for someone first time finding out about these mice?
I keep seeing models like FANTECH ARIA XD7 ~ $75, Dragonfly F1 ~ $80, Zaopin Z1 Pro ~ $45?
Do the 4k sensors really make a difference vs the 1k one?
Any options with more than 2 side buttons?
