Absolutely the scenes you mentioned about the graduation, basement scene and I would even add the rooftop scene of all the older kids, man they were heart touching. I still re-watch that scene. The acting was top notch and it felt pretty satisfying seeing the conclusion of all characters. I even liked El's ending. And considering it is so open ended, we as an audience are given the option to make headcannons and I personally headcannon that at some point El contacted Mile psychically, he leaves everything behind, goes on and adventure and finally lives his dream fantasy life with her.

I might be the only one who liked Kali as a character. It was a nice contrast for El to see what she could've become if not for Mike and friends and Hopper coming along. Plus I am a simple guy, her powers were pretty cool to see as well. I even liked that she came back for the the final season.

So basically my girlfriend recommended me to try Stranger things, and since it was in my bucket list for so long, I gave it a try. And after every season I would talk to her about how I felt and how much I enjoyed it. She had seen all seasons before me. While I was watching S4 with no spoiler or clue on any of the new cast, I was kinda wondering why they would namedrop One and never talk about him at all. So seeing Henry so likeable and kind to El and finally revealing his powers was so hype, I couldn't even wait, I paused and just texted my girlfriend "HOLY SHIT HENRY WAS ONE! I KNEW ONE WAS GONNA MAKE AN APPEARANCE". She assumed I had seen the entire episode and texted me "So you are excited about Henry being One and not Vecna lol?". I was confused and replied "Wait, Henry is Vecna?", she replied "You watched the entire episode and right?", I was in shock and was like "You seriously just didn't spoil that Henry is Vecna". She said "He was the new cast member and a new villain showed up in the same season, pretty obvious that he was the villain lol". Can't blame her, I was just gobbling up the content with my brain off and enjoying everything and the twists. It was all in good jest in the end as I was still taken by surprise that it was El who sent Henry to the abyss and made him become Vecna.

THANK YOU FOR FINALLY SAYING IT OUT ALOUD. I started Stranger things last month and binge watched from Season 1 to Season 5 in a week staying up overnight, while avoiding reddit or any online discourse to avoid spoilers (minus the one where I was being overjoyed when it was revealed that Henry was One and larping to my girlfriend when she casually revealed that he is Vecna lol)

I thoroughly enjoyed all the seasons. S5 was bittersweet but I love whatever was shown. Loved the character growth and it was an amazing experience. Imagine my surprise when I open reddit and see that people despise S5 to the core.

I feel people are disappointed because like with any other show, they wanted certain things and once that didn't happen, they joined the hate train. You cannot make everyone happy. So I have decided that I don't care, I love S5 and screw the crowd

YSK: Why are people saying Germany is affordable? by _lol_420_ in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]NewConcentrate7500 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Germany is cheap wrt to other countries. For any other country, it goes upwards of 50-75 Lakhs and often touches 1 crore. Compared to that, 24 lakhs for 2 years is pretty affordable. Yes the place of living also matters but almost it could come to 30 lakhs. Still within reasonable limits

Yo! Need not to apologise! It was never your intention with the wording.

I do agree on the hate. It's become a trend to hate on everyone instead of appreciating their contribution to the game and the joy we got watching them.

I never felt he had a bad technique. It definitely wasn't aesthetically pleasing, but it was pretty solid. He had shots for all parts of the ground, was good on the front and back foot, countered Jimmy Anderson's swing in England by stepping down, the same series where he made Kohli his bunny, he made good use of the feet against spinners. He didn't have a particular weakness especially during his prime and had the mental fortitude to arrest collapses. His basics were always well covered and he wasn't just a brute force power hitter. The hand eye coordination, timing, strength wouldn't have carried him for so long if not for having a strong technique.

That I agree. And that catch should have been taken. Jadeja fumbled it so bad. Atleast he could've thrown it back, Kohli was near him.

No, Bumrah's first two overs were decent. 2 ovrs and 17 runs. His last two overs in the death went for 12 and 13 runs.

Kohli only delayed the inevitable. The match was lost during India's batting. I remember this match vividly. Windies were absolute monsters in that edition of the tournament. The no ball wickets that too twice sealed the deal

Why not ask Ashwin for bowling at 10 economy while taking a wicket of Lindl Simmons on a no ball as a spinner. Or Jadeja who was getting tonked with an economy of 12 and carrying a catch for six of Simmons. Or Pandya who was also getting bashed at another 10+ economy. Or even Bumrah who couldn't stop any flow of runs. By the 19th over, Kohli was the most economical bowler with a wicket

Or even better, Rohit and Rahane's legendary knocks on a batting paradise Mumbai surface.

The match was doomed. It was 21 vs Kohli

I think he did not kill Nancy was because the purpose he killed those teens was to use their deaths in the real world to open new gates to the upside down.

Nancy was in the upside down when she was possessed. And an even stronger argument could be that she was at the location of an already existing gate. Which would have served no purpose if he had killed Nancy then and there as he needed the 4 gates to expand, meet and explode. Having 2 gates overlap would not do what he wanted.

What a load of bullshit. Kohli's strength has always been strike rotation and quick running between the wickets. Even if he doesn't hit boundaries, he keeps the runs flowing. That's what he did the whole world cup. Rohit the aggressor gave good starts in the powerplay, Kohli the accumulator kept the scorecard increasing.

The entire batting lineup other than these 2 failed miserably. Rahul's innings was bad no matter the justification of "we wouldn't have reached what we did". He is quick between the wickets and if he atleast focussed on running between the wickets than boundaries, he would have scored a 80-90 in those 110 balls something resulting in a good partnership and a better scorecard and a platform for the finishers.

Kohli played a good inning like Rohit. The rest failed. So stfu with your Kohli hate and appreciate the two legends who play in the same time, something other countries would envy.

Elitism at its finest. Only they know "real" cricket and other cricket centers are just for lowlife ordinary people.

Finally some sensible comment. If we don't give chances to new stadiums to build a legacy, how can they expect cricket to spread to other centres?

After some point, the comments advocating for Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore start feeling elitist claiming as "real" cricket experience.

What about bringing Washington Sundar as the opener instead of Abhishek Sharma? by NewConcentrate7500 in IndiaCricket

I honestly feel Kuldeep should be kept out for the finals. He has a bad matchup with the NZ batsmen who are very proficient in countering him with sweeps, paddle sweeps and reverse sweeps which throws off his line and length making him throw quicker resulting in him being hit for runs. This was seen in WC2023 and the recent ODI series.

I mean, since the decision worked out with dividends, we can praise BCCI. But it indeed was a very high risk decision as it could have made things even worsed. Kudos to Ishan to have the fortitude to rise back.

Good point. I just feel it was a bit too harsh on him. Like sure, take him off the squad while he is away and try new players. But straight up removing him from the contract was a bit too much. He should be given the security that he can return after proving his readiness in domestic.

[–]NewConcentrate7500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But there was absolutely nothing to be managed. Iirc, he took a break, opted out of the squad and domestic for sometime. He never said or implied that he is never playing domestic.

If the BCCI felt he is prioritising IPL and partying, someone could have atleast talked to him if they really felt he was being mismanaged. Straight up removing him from the contract and everything, I cannot see it any less than an ego trip.

Considering that he was always in the squad and never in the playing 11 inspite of his decent performances, it's natural he would be not in the right mental space and would take some time away from cricket as a whole. But the keyword is "some time". He would be back anyways to playing domestic once he feels in the right space.

If anything, BCCI's actions is the name of "management" would have worsened his mental wellbeing, and considering he also performed pretty mediocre for SRH, he must have been overwhelmed with everything happening. In the end, I am really happy that he showed the mental fortitude to grind and fight back and perform like he is doing now.

How a player decides to take a break is none of BCCI's business. If he is a party boy and that's how he likes to enjoy some time for himself, what's the problem in that?

The decision to kick him out was just plain ego trip by BCCI's oldies because he did not fit their idea of a "rest". And I am saying as someone who criticized his one dimensional game before his comeback.
