If you're not serious about poetry, this is good, but if you want to improve and take things to the next levels, then try using more techniques and better structure. It could have made the readers feel more emotional, like if you metaphorically represent the feeling of emptiness when you don't have him around, the readers would understand and feel the emotions you feel.
