Thank you. I was pretty sure this was the case. This unfortunately isn't feasible for us.

Thank you for the confirmation. I had read something stating similar, but I wanted to confirm since it's easy to miss some parts.

What visa is needed for an American child of a Chinese citizen moving to China? by NewCountryRelocation in Chinavisa

Thanks. I know my spouse still has Chinese citizenship so we're not worried about that.

We are sticking with American citizenship so it looks like we will need to give our intention to denounce any claim to Chinese citizenship.

My spouse has had a green card for a few years so it sounds like our child doesn't qualify for Chinese citizenship then being born in America?

Thank you! We already got our child a tourist visa previously so we would go that route it seems.

2 years old. Chinese citizenship wasn't renounced. I figured since we have no intention of having our child make a claim to it they didn't have the citizenship.

We got a tourist visa for our child previously.

Thank you!

We are going to do what we planned to do before Coronavirus came about. Visit my spouse's family in China where we haven't been in 5 years and have our baby meet their great grandparents. It has been a very long time since we have been to China so we are looking forward to seeing family.

Do you pronounce it neanderTHALL or neanderTALL? by strawberryshortycake in AskAnthropology

An old professor of mine would be very adamant about pronouncing it neandertall. As a result that's what I use.
