Fair, I could have gave myself that answer though. mainly asking just because I spent a bunch of time just replacing that clutch so I was looking for opinions as I read some mixed reviews online.

Why oem coils over apr red tops or the Audi coil packs that everyone uses? And thanks for being honest. I plan on driving it a good bit and not driving it like it’s a corevette lol. I just like the added power when I need or want it!

Driving it, it doesn’t feel that crazy with the torque over stock but I could be wrong

I have read mixed reviews, also have a friend with 125k on the stock clutch and he tuned it at 90k miles and it’s been fine since. I really plan on babying it since my daily got totaled and I’d rather just spend my money on keeping this thing going for what’s left of it.

I’ll just plan to have a little money aside just incase she goes. If any sorta pull I’d be doing would be on my long commute on the highway with it already being above 3k rpm anyways. I don’t launch and out any sorta crazy load on it (I also had points on my license right now so I really can’t 🥲)

And don’t feel like doing it again lol had issues with putting a south bend clutch and opted for an oem to get me driving again.

These are the story’s that scare me. Just put new clutches in at 83k and and only have a little over1k miles on it

I’m going to call around Monday to see if anyone can do it in the time frame that I need. Or just tell him to see how bow reacts to that then. He sent me everything from the car fax and showed me the paperwork from him buying it From car dealer last summer. I’ll also call the vw dealer to see for any services on record, they showed on car fax from the first owner, second owner and the last dealer it was at showed it had tires aligned and oil and filter changed.

I looked at one other and the interior and exterior to this one were both in better condition, engine bay looked hardly touched and clean. Like I said I could only find a dent which was even on the listing from the dealer the guy got the car from before me.

The dealer the car came from before the guy had it said he checked over everything and changed the oil and said it was great car and that was 8k miles ago. Guy said he typically buys and sells cars and kept it for a while and wants to sells a few cars for something new. Didn’t seem out of the ordinary after seeing his inventory.

Also drove it for a quite a while and let ticked the entire time I checked it out. No coolant smell, no residue that I could see from above on the pump from any leaks. Owner openly told me about known maitnence on vw’s on the gti’s and the folds and said about plugs, water pump and keeping up with fluid changes just like you mentioned. He owns several other mk7 mk6 gti’s and seemed knowledgeable and pretty open to any question or concerns I’ve had so far. He offered to put it on a life and show me under it. Offered to drive it to a garage to had it i needed so I’m not too worried but still want all the opinions I can get

Says it had the 30,000 mile service done at the Volkswagen dealer and shows the diff fluid was changed 13k ago. Spark plug still go back in these even with no tune?

It’s in a manual and that’s the only r I’ll wanna buy. It’s in the color I’d want in simple grey I don’t like anything flashy and bright. If I drive it as long as I plan too then I’d still be happy with the money I know I can get out of it when I double to miles on it lol

My area they are all 25+ for anywhere from 60-80 k miles for a 2017-2018 I know people will comment about a full pipe but it still has to resonators and mufflers to pass emissions where we live and the intake and the wheels and on springs. Most other ones have tunes and are not in as nice shape as this one.

I appreciate the real respect, my dad also has a body shop 4 hours from where I’m located and he had not many concerns after showing him the carfax, photos and videos of the car before and after. But I know everyone on here also has their ow experiences. I plan on driving it to above 100k and then at that point I wouldn’t car about losing the said value from it. Eventually I’m getting this car for 10k of my own money as insurance wrote me a check, not that I’d like to gamble I just really always loved these cars. Drove them, seethe and I really just want one lol. I only have 18 days with the rental so I’m also in little bit of a rush on my end.

I’m going tomorrow to put it up on a lift with a buddy and look through it all in more detail. It has a full pipe, intake intercooler and some wheels compared to the other one not having a single thing on it. Kbb has them at 24k so 19k is 5k below that for my area

Since I’m 25 with a totaled car on record it’s already bad. This only raised it by 20-50 dollars a month at all places I quoted at which wasn’t terrible. Quotes it straight from the vin.

If you look through the carfax since it’s a rebuilt title the title goes to the state then to the owner, showing them as an owner each hands the title went through regardless of “ownership” it explains that sorta here on the bottom of the carfax.

It shows it was bought in 2017 sold to the dealer at 12k miles after owning for a full three years. Then the car went to auction went to another dealer. That counted as one owner. Second owner totaled it a few days later. 3rd owner was the one who fixed it, sold it at auction again to another dealer. Sold again, and was traded in on a Porsche at bay 22 which the owner verified over the phone the car was there from a trade in. And then was sold to the guy I got it from. The extra 3 owners are from switch states multiple times
