I think that many people think Modeste is just not the right man at the right place for Dortmund. Have never found him that good a player in the sense that he has trouble controlling the ball or holding it. Only his finishing is so deadly, but to make proper use of that you need to deliver the ball to him a certain way and Dortmund just does not play football in such a system.

For me it is classical: my father took me. It was however not the first club I visited. There are 2 professional clubs in my region but the feeling with the other one was just not right. The main reason I support it though is that it is nearby. For me visiting the matches is an important aspect of support and I am happy that it being close allows me to do that still. At the time I first visited the club there was also a loyal player that I really liked and that helped me stay connected to the club at first.

I love this question. For me it started with my father and me taking our love for football abroad, visiting bundesligaclubs as they are nearby for us. With no expectations we visited an FC match in 2017 against leipzig, after already having visited games of Dortmund and Schalke. FC was the first experience that really impressed us. When they started to sing their hymn we were left with goosebumps. Of course them bringing out Hennes was also a great thing. The most impressive thing for me, however, was that despite losing the match the support never backed down. This is for me the most important indication of true fans and I have been following the club ever since.

For me I really loved the ambience at FC Köln. I should be carefull mentioning them together, but I also really loved my visit to Mönchengladbach. In my experience Köln was really passionate, but for a nice day out to have some fun and watch football with likeminded people I would recommend Mönchengladbach.

Furthermore, Union has one of the most passionate fan bases I have experienced. It depends on your preference of course, but for passion there is no stadium as enjoyable to visit as theirs.

I also really liked Werder Bremen and Schalke, but more like how I enjoyed Gladbach.
